I heaved a deep breath and massaged my temple as I watch my phone rang and my Mom's messages bombarded my notifications. I sipped my coffee while looking at it.

Kagabi pa iyong mga messages niya na hindi ko na nakita pa because… oh well.

Ipinilig ko ang ulo ko. Don't think about what happened, Myst.

Me:
I won't be going home for the meantime, Mom.

I slowly rose from where I was sitting and I was immediately greeted by Simon’s annoying smirk. I rolled my eyes at him.

“Wow, so nice of you to treat me this way, Ma'am.” He said sarcastically.

I am just wearing a white robe, nothing underneath it.

While I was watching the busy street below I can't help but to heave a breath.

I can still feel the soreness in between my thighs but I am setting that aside. There's no time for me to think about what happened. Because there's actually nothing to think about. That was just a simple one night stand.

I glared at Simon but he just shoved my phone on my face. I glared at him more.

“Fucking asshole.” I spat, but the asshole that he is, just smirk at me.

“Answer it.” He said shrugging his should.

Then, I heard Simon's laughter from my behind.

“Hello, Mom?” I said as I answered her call.

“Oh, gracious goodness, finally!” She exclaimed on the other line. “Where are you, Mystique? Huh? What do you mean you're not going home? Have you gone insane?!”

“Mom–”

She cut me off, “Don’t Mom-Mom me, Mystique! I want you home! Come home before I drag your ass her! I don't care where you are, I will know it so don't you escape from me!”

“You know that–”

“I know very well the reason why you want away from our home, but, goodness!

I want to be calm as much as possible if ever man na magkausap ulit kami ni Martin. I don't want both of us shouting endlessly kapag nagkaharap kami.

This is one of his toxic traits that I really hate.

“Hindi muna ako uuwi, My. I'm sorry. You know how Martin’s mind works. I want to be away from him first.
