CH.4: Hope

The next day came, and the weather was starting to get warmer, Headphones went to the cafeteria and pulled out her stuff for her assignment.

H: Only one more paragraph to go, then I'll be finished.

She put on some Lofi music to help her focus and remembered something about last night with her friend Paisley.

•Flashback•

-9:20 pm

P: may I ask you something?

Headphones was curious about it but answered in approval,

H: What is it?
P: I want to know if everything's okay, you've been acting down lately; I wanted to know if everything's okay.
H: o-ohh, I'm okay, really
P: Are you sure? You can tell me, I won't tell anyone I promise

Headphones isn't so sure if she should spill it out, like before she had trust issues. She doesn't want any of her friends to get involved, where it'll eventually get to that person and get into arguments by my words.

The girl loves them to death but wouldn't risk it. But it's the one that she'll trust Paisley; she is Skull's teammate.

H: Okay... but what I tell you now, can not be said to anyone, understand?
P: You have my word!

The purple female inkling promised as Headphones exhaled and said it.

•End of flashback•

H: *sigh* I just hope she won't say anything...

Headphones went to her locker to grab her materials, and Bobble Hat surprised her.

B: HIII!
H: YEEEK! BOBBLE HAT!

The funny woman scared her friend and snickered,

B: Sorry, what's going on?
H: Nothing much, ready to go?
B: Yep!

As the two walked down the hallways, they saw a group of students gathering. We got closer, and it was a big poster,

B: What's this?
H: I don't know

They got closer, and it was a school event posted by the class president, Army of the S4.

Saturday, March 18th, is Inkopolis High School's Cherry Blossom Gala: a spring homecoming dance. Tickets will be available in the mornings, at lunchtime, and after school,

(The deadline to purchase them is Friday, March 10th.)

Dress code:
♀️: long or short dresses/fancy shoes
♂️: Tuxedos/pants/fancy shoes
*nothing inappropriate*

Ticket prices:
- Freshmans: $5
- Sophomores/Juniors: $10
- Seniors: $20

B: a dance?! how exciting!
H: huh, that's in two weeks.
B: the seniors gotta pay more, suck to be them, lol

Headphones would go but it wouldn't be worth it to her despite what happened, she's got two weeks to reconsider. But for now, it's a no because what's the point?

The girls were walking down the steps as Headphones was thinking in her head as her friend was speaking random funny things until the blue inkling slipped on something and fell down the steps in slow motion way.

B: OH MY GOD!!

Bobble Hat didn't catch her in time, Headphones thought she was gonna die, and it was all over for her until two open arms caught her just in time before hitting the floor.
