CH.3: take some time

H:...

Headphones didn't make eye contact as she was heading to her next class, didn't look up, and felt like a sad, broken girl with no emotion ever since that day.

She held her book tight to try and keep herself together. All that Headphones needed to do was get through the day without talking to Skull.

H: Don't worry Headphones, you can make it through this day. Just...hang in there girl.

She exhaled to relieve herself from anxiety, Headphones saw the S4 with Team X-blood with them and Team Yellow-green.

Headphones saw something in Skull's hand and recognized it. It was the chocolate that she left behind two weeks ago. it looked like he was enjoying it as he munched them down.

She was stunned by him munching on those chocolates that he got,

Al: woah, tickets to see the Wailing Squiddos?!
Sk: I found it in my envelope with my card. I'll thank the person for the gifts later.

Headphones quickly hides behind the lockers, she feels delighted that Skull enjoying the gifts she got him but still feels hurt from back then as she goes away with a sigh.

H: *it's not enough to heal*

Headphones does her best to keep her head up high to not let this feeling of sadness ruin her day and make her friends worry.

Then suddenly, a light violet inkling shoved her a little, causing her to drop her stuff.

It was a girl named Crystal; she was the captain of the cheerleading squad and a diva who thinks she could do what she wanted.

C: Ugh, move it you wannabe loser!
H: sorry...
C: geez, what a clumsy blue geek!

They laughed as they continued their walk, leaving headphones feeling humiliated, 

After school, Headphones got on the school bus and looked out the window, she needed time to think.

She pulled out something that she remembered about Skull, it was a charger keychain that he gave her last year after their lessons.

Headphones shot a target balloon with a direct shot, and Skull nodded his head for approval

S: alright, that's all for today!

Headphones sighed in relief, looking exhausted. She had time to sit on the bench to rest. Skull handed her a bottle of water to cool off,

H: thank you very much!

She smiled and took it, Skull sat next to her, and he had a towel to whip the sweat off. He looked at her and blushed a little at how pretty she looked,

H: thanks for the lesson today Skull, that was a real workout
S: It's no problem, Headphones here want some?

He had a bag of butterscotch candies and took some.

H: mmh, so good! Thank you!
S:😊

He then remembered something and reached into his pocket to grab this,

S: here!
H: ?

Headphones held her hand out, and she was gifted with a charger keychain, her weapon.

H: a charger keychain?! Oh wow
S: you've earned it for working hard today

She blushed by what he said as he scratched his head, by turning the other way.

S: It's okay if you don't like it-
H: are you kidding me? I love it! It's so hard to get these during turf war. I can't thank you enough. You're the sweetest person that I ever met!

She smiled brightly with her face blushing and made a small cackle, his heart stroke by seeing her smile and he chuckled knowing that she appreciated his gift as they both laughed enjoying the moment of their friendship.

*End of flashback*

H: hm...*chuckled*

She smiled with a blush but felt like crying out with sadness that these moments with him were over now, it was the most painful feeling in the world that a girl shouldn't be feeling at all. She sniffled and felt her heart breaking in sadness.

Headphones came home to the apartment, and her aunt wasn't there but a list was on the fridge for Headphones.

Grocery list:
. 3x Bread
. potatoes
. Parsley
. Soup base (chicken)
. White sugar

H: out of groceries huh, okay...

She got the list and headed out. Headphones got everything on the list and grabbed what she wanted like snacks or food-related.

Headphones's pov:

I went to the food market to get the groceries and I sat near the deli to have myself a peach Lavender ice tea.

The sky from outside looks amazing, the dark pink-orange sky is always so satisfying to watch. It helps to calm the mind and make things better, after that; I went home with the groceries and I saw my dog Aquarius bounce on me for excitement.

A notification popped up from my phone;

Aviator took a picture of Skull with cash like he's some sort of a rapper. That's the money that he got for his birthday!

H: *weak smiles*

I smiled at this photo knowing that Skull's silliness hasn't changed; at least that's good to know. I did my routine for the night. My phone began to buzz, and I looked to see who is calling me and it was Paisley,

H: h-hello?
P: Headphones; hope I didn't wake you up
H: you didn't. Umm, I was in the shower
P: oh, okay; so do you mind if I ask you something?
