I leave in 3 days and I swear within these last two weeks I've met everyone my family knows.
The phrases "I have known you since you small" or "You remember me?" haunts my soul at this point. Like come on if the last time you saw me was when I came home from the hospital as a new born, how do you expect me to remember you????
It was extremely bitter sweet though, I may not be close to my extended family the support I've received just makes me leaving worth it.
I'm setting the stones for the younger ones in my family showing them that they can follow their dreams no matter what.
A knock on my bedroom door brings me out of my thoughts.
My mom walks in "You finished?" she asks in a tone just above a whisper.
I sigh "Almost , I tryin to decide if it makes sense to take all that" I point to a pile of random stuff from my closet next to my suitcase for the last hour I've been trying to limit myself to important stuff but its proven to be unsuccessful.
"UGHHH!" I grunt loudly.
"Mommy why is this so hard" I watch her and take in all the features of her face. Her eyes glistened and she closes her eyes tightly I hear her inhale.
"I've been dreaming off this day for years ,now its only a few days away but I'm filled of uncertainty and -" before I could finish she hugs me.
"No, you've worked too hard to second guess yourself"
"You may feel this way now but when you get there and that cool New York breeze caresses your face you'll forget about all of us" She laughs more to herself that with me.
"Yes she will forget about we" My eyes move to my door and there stood my two sisters but only for a second, before I could blink I was tackled by the two girls. I groaned as they occupied the other half of my bed.
"Yeah maybe I'll forget about you guys" I quickly said as we all laid on my bed in silence.

I'm leaving in 2 days it's around 3 pm and I'm just waiting for my friends and cousins to show up.
Mommy is currently on the phone with my aunt who has apparently found me the "perfect apartment"
Today we're just hanging out at home. Earlier this morning we packed up my stuff and shipped it to my aunts house.
I've been bombarding myself with questions all day.
How am I gonna live by myself ?
Where?
I haven't even found an apartment and don't be fooled my aunts taste is horrendous.
But I guess that's just a part of the adventure.
"Aii open d door !! " Kayla's voice rings throughout the house.
This girl could never ask for something nicely, I rolled my eyes as she pushes past me. The house is quickly filled with people not even an hour later.
Everyone is doing their own thing, Anila and Kayla and I are just staring at each other.
"This is happening girls" I say
we talked for what seemed like a minute but it was actually 2 hours.
Ultimately we decided that when I get there I would look for apartments and when i do find one we'll work out rent which they would transfer to me.
On the other hand we made a rule facetime every morning and every afternoon.
And possible hourly updates. Nila is gonna use this one to remind me about eating and drinking water.
"You should get a pet" My cousin blurts.
Maybe I should get a pet, but who would have it when I'm at work?
"You mad ? and when I have to work who seeing the pet ?" I asked.
"Your aunt or uncle, them always home doing nothing" Vani laughs
"You do remember what happened to the last pet they had right? " I say as the memory is shared between the group.

"RING! RING! RING!" Mommy phone rings.
"Ariel answer the phone I can't if I leave the food it will burn " Mommy yells from the kitchen
I pause the movie and quickly answer the phone and put it on speaker.
"Hello aunty, how are you?" I ask as i walk towards my mother.
"It's Liam and your uncle" we hear along with loud laughter.
"So what's up how's the puppy" my mother asks them.
There's a long pause and then laughter again after they calm down we hear my aunt and younger cousin screaming in the background "STOP LAUGHING THIS KIS NOT FUNNY"
"So your sister went to feed d dog and give him a very big piece of Liam's chocolate birthday cake even when we told her don't feed it to the dog" My uncle tells my mother while my sisters and I cackle softly.

"She kill d dog and she will kill my one too" I whisper shout while laughing.
I will never giver her my pets to take care off I don't even know how my cousins are still standing she can't even keep a cactus alive , all I have to say is thank you to my uncle.
"Stop laughing before she hear, she on the phone with mommy" Angel said as she sat on the floor near Kayla.
As the night grew closer the house got emptier and eventually it was just mom, dad, Vani, Angel and I.
For once dad was okay, we sat down at the couch after having dinner an watched movies, talked and sure there were ears but it was mostly happy.
Eventually everyone got tired however no one went to their room we all slept in the living room.
