Welcome, everyone, to The Boy Shrouded in Green and Purple, a collection of two flash fiction pieces I wrote in 2017 that I've revisited. Both are spin-off stories of Claxton. Story One, What is Anxiety?, follows the story of young Tracey, who must overcome his claxton anxiety over a symbolic duel with the Octopus Man. Story Two, The Boy Shrouded in Green and Purple, follows Alice, who discovers Tracey's hideaway, Merlin's Island. She meets him and learns that human selfishness has torn the boundaries of the Human and Fairy Worlds.

Since these were written in 2017, they're rough around the edges, but I still had a blast with my favorite character from Claxton. Tracey wields many more secrets that will be revealed in the tetralogy. Him being a claxton isn't the main plot twist (I mean, the series is called Claxton), and you must be kidding if you think I'm going to spoil it. So, sorry! There are no major plot twists here—only more information about Merlin the Great's apprentice.

Keep in mind that these are short and symbolic pieces. You need to read them more than once to understand everything happening and pick out all the symbols. They're short, but I worked very hard on them, and I hope you enjoy this short collection just as much as I did writing it!

All rights reserved! Please do NOT plagiarize this story! I've been working on her since 9th grade, and she does not deserve such an insult! Nor does Tracey! If anybody plagiarizes this story, not only will I report you, I may even sue you. It's not that hard to write your own story about merpeople, but this one is mine.
