"Good morning." Headmistress Griffin greeted the girls. Early that morning the Head Witch had requested to speak to the Winx about a new tactic to stop the Trix from stealing the Codex. Now they were in her office, along with Mirta and Lucy, discussing said tactic. "I hope everyone is feeling better."
"Yes ma'am." Lucy said.
"No sleep for two nights." Layla yawned.
"Good, now listen closely. I've discovered how the Trix are getting around."
"The walls. I had already found that out, if you had doubts should have asked me." Ruby told them.
"Why didn't you tell us that?" Musa asked.
"I thought you knew."
"You are correct Ruby. The Trix have help from Cloud Tower."
"That's right, Cloud Tower is alive." Flora commented.
"But how are they controlling it?" Tecna asked.
"There's a spell." Griffin answered. "However they cannot move through the walls without me knowing about it."
"Maybe they've increased the spell's strength with the power they got from Darkaar." Bloom suggested
"Yes, I've come to that same conclusion." Griffin said.
"Wait, didn't I hear Ruby say the Trix are moving through the walls?" Stella asked.
"That means they can just show up anywhere." Lucy said, shaking in fear. She clearly hadn't recovered from the previous day's scare.
"It'll be ok, Lucy." Mirta comforted her, putting an arm around her to soothe her.
Oh, those two are lesbians. Ruby thought, pursing her lips to stop herself from smiling.
"Now, in order for you to track them, I've made these ruby coins." Griffin said, taking a small red object shaped like a coin from a drawer in her desk. "The coins will light up if a spell is being used to control the Tower in your area."
"So we just split up and try to track down the Trix with these coins?" Musa asked.
"But how will we keep in touch?" Layla questioned.
"Lady Griffin, we'll need a way to communicate with each other." Bloom added.
"Simple enough. If the Trix are capable of getting Cloud Tower to work for them so are you." Griffin said, standing up from her seat at the desk and stretching her arm towards the wall. "Exclamo." As she casted the spell a hole appeared in that wall awfully resembling an ear.
"So we just talk into that weird thing, is that it?" Stella asked.
"Yes and your friends will be able to hear you. Now, I'll sepperate you into groups as I don't have that many coins. Mirta and Lucy you'll be together. Bloom and Tecna you'll also be a duo. Then it's Flora and Aisha. And lastly Ruby, Stella and Musa. Got it?"
"Yes ma'am." All of them said in unison.
"Good, now each of you take this ruby coin." Griffin said, handing each group one coin.
"How sweet, you named them after me." Ruby teased, grabbing a coin.
"More like you were named after the gemstone." Griffin argued.
"You're right. I'm a gem."
"How humble." Musa said sarcastically, rolling her eyes as a small smile rested on her lips.
"Now go, Winx and you two, let's not keep the Trix waiting." As Griffin ordered this, the girls all walked out of the room each group walking in sepperate direction.
