(A/N: This will be a specially long chapter since the Trix and Ruby got reunited and I wanted it to be meaningful. I hope you like it, I did my best <3)

The underground fortress was silent. Eerily silent. Darkaar sat at his throne, clicking his sharp claws against the armrests and staring into the abyss. The Trix stood before him also silent.

To say that they were scared was an understatement. They had been given a task. To kidnap Bloom and bring her back to the fortress. But they couldn't do that. Now Darkaar was simply quiet, but his anger and displeasure was palpable and the tension in the throne room was so thick that they could barely breathe. They just knew he would kill them.

"How hard could it be to kidnap one little Fairy?" The armoured knight finally spoke up, the sudden words leaving his mouth startling the three Witches.

"We were at a disavantage." Icy said, her voice loud and secure, disguising how terrified she was. "They were too many and we were in a magic-free zone..."

"What about your Gloomix?" Darkaar's voice boomed through the room and he stood up from his massive chair. Stormy and Darcy immediately hid behind their older sister.

"Again, it was a magic-free zone." Icy repeated, bravely stepping closer to the knight. "Even though there was some magic in our Gloomix, it was not enough to fight all of them."

"Was it not?" Darkaar asked, going down from his throne and walking towards the Trix. They stepped back and Icy made sure they were behind her while Darcy made sure Stormy was behind her. "Or were you saving it to break that supid curse on that annoying little Fairy? You seemed to have plenty for that."

The Trix grew quiet after that accusation. It was true, but they weren't expecting him to know about it. With the WildLands being a magic-free zone Darkaar's spying spell should be weakened, but apparentely it was enough for him to find out.

"Yes, I know about that." The dark knight said, walking even closer to the Witches. "I know everything about your pathetic affection towards that Fairy. I couldn't care less before, but know you've let it affect my plans. Do you realize what you have done? I was so close to finally entering the realm of relics, but thanks to your foolishness the Fairies are now in high alert and I can't get Bloom anymore. You've ruined my plans!!"

"They're not ruined." Icy argued, raising her voice to match his. "We can still get Bloom and this time there will be no distractions."

"Do you actually think I'll give you a second chance after this?" Darkaar asked before blasting the Trix with a powerful blow that sent them flying against a nearby pillar. "I ought to kill you for this, but perhaps I should just lock you in the dungeon to actually make you suffer."

"Wait, you have to..." Darcy began, but Darkaar attacked her again. Stormy caught her with her magic before she hit the pillar again.

"I don't have to do anything you tell me to." He shouted. "You will be sent to the dungeons with this thought in mind. You failed. Your little counterspell? It failed. My creator is still under that curse, but now she's back with that bratty brunette. She's comforting her for being kidnapped by you and the memories you shared this year were also erased."

The Trix stared at the knight without saying a word. Their hearts broke and severall tears began to stream down their faces. They had failed? How? And what could they do now? The counterspell doesn't work.

They began growing into despair, however it was very short lived thanks to the voice that spoke behind Darkaar.

"Woah, it's not very nice to lie, Copycat."

The dark knight turned around to see Ruby sitting at his throne, her legs crossed over the armrest. She was holding a bag of doritos and was eating from it without even sparing a glance at her creation.
