The flight back to Alfea was very quiet. Nobody dared to say a word. Not when Ruby looked at Ebony as if she wanted to rip her skin off, and Ebony stared into space with pure fear in her wide eyes, almost shaking in her seat.
Even Robin and the others, who had previously been rooting for the end of the curse, felt very unsettled by the tension in the air, which could be cut with a butter knife.
Ruby's eyes were red. They started glowing as soon as they left the WIldLands, and they haven't stopped yet. In fact, they seemed to get darker and darker with each passing minute. As a result, the wounds Flora had bandaged were now spreading to the rest of her leg and arm, and the bandages were turning from white to dark red. But Ruby didn't seem to care. All she did was stare at Ebony and imagine all the horrible things she wished she could do to her. It gave her some comfort.
Eventually they arrived at Alfea. The courtyard was full of students and all the Professors had gathered there to welcome them back. It was perfect for Ruby. She could speak to Faragonda and have Ebony at the very least arrested.
Timmy landed the Aircraft and the students also began gathering up around the Professors to greet them. Ruby was the first one to stand up. She almost fell back down due to the pain on her leg, but she did her best to ignore it and limped out of the ship. Riven grabbed Ebony and dragged her into the courtyard. Despite her efforts to fight his grip, she was no match for him.
"Girls, welcome back." Faragonda greeted them warmly, opening her arms as if to embrace them. "How was your trip?"
"It started great, but..." Musa began, glancing at Ruby whose gaze was fixated on the Headmistress.
"But?" Griselda asked, pushing her glasses up.
"But I was cursed." Ruby said through gritted teeth.
Faragonda's gaze immediately shifted towards Ebony, who refused to look at anything but the ground beneath her feet, and smiled in relief. Ruby frowned at that.
"What?" The Winx and Specialists asked in unison.
"What do you mean you were cursed?" Stella screamed, walking closer to her friend. "Who did it?"
"Take a guess." Ruby growled, looking directly at Ebony.
Everyone in the courtyard turned their head towards the brunette who was now visibly shaking in her place. They whispered with each other, others started shouting some insults at Ebony and others even at Ruby, calling her a liar.
"Everyone calm down, calm down." Professor Wizigiz yelled in his thick Scottish accent.
"So I'm assuming it has finally been broken." Faragonda commented, smiling happily. Nothing about her expression gave away shock of any sort.
"You already knew?" Ruby asked. Ebony finally looked up and stared at the Headmistress, now even more terrified than before.
"Of course I did. I am not and idiot Ruby. I've known everything for a while now."
"By everything you mean..."
"Everything."
"Excuse me, but why are you so calm, Headmistress?" Stella shouted as she stepped closer to Ebony, nearly growling in her face. "What did you do to my friend you bitch with absolutely no fashion sense whatsover? I mean bellbottoms? Be fucking for real."
I disagree on that one, Darcy wears bellbottoms and she always looks so hot. Ruby thought to herself, but she shook it away, focusing on the problem at hand.
