Chapter 26

Toji POV

"Maybe she doesn't care about you all after all," the leader spoke as we looked at him, my eyes trained on Sage and Nova who were sleeping in each other's arms

"It's been 12 hours, the sun is rising and she isn't here," he smiled, "maybe you're not that important,"he shrugged as my blood boiled

The ground shook terrifyingly making a smile come across my face, "what's that?" One of the guards yelled, "it's my wife," I said making them turn, "she's coming for you."

The middle of the gym split open, I pressed my back against Megumi and his friends, keeping my eyes pinned to Nova and Sage, who were hugging each other on the other side

With a look down, I could see lava bubbling as it parted and Y/N came up on a stone pillar. She wore a Buddhist robe and half her hair was up in a bun, with the rest going down her back

She held a staff in her hand, with my worm on her shoulder.

"Why does she have that on?" Yuji asked, "it's Suguru's clothes," Gojo spoke making us look at him, "that's Suguru's Playful Cloud, she's wearing her hair the same way, those are his earrings," he whispered the end to himself as I looked back at her

"She's emulating Suguru in his prime," D/N said as M/N held onto him

"I'll give you one chance," she held up the staff and it extended into Playful Cloud making my eyes widen as she opened her hand

"Release my children. Or you will watch the earth crumble beneath you," I heard the smile in her voice and it was cynical, alluring yet frightening

Jesus I was excited

"Come get-" "wrong answer," she closed it and we watched as they dropped their weapons, holding their throats as her Hangman did the rest

She pounced on one of that that were close and was in top of him. She smiled down at him as she ripped out his trachea and threw it to the side, standing before them again as some of them looked physically ill

"See, when my brother died," she opened her hand again and a bright white orb floated in it, "he left his curses," she tipped her head back and opened her mouth, swallowing it

"We need to get them out of here," Gojo spoke up, "you're telling me?" I asked as I threw Megumi over my shoulder, then Yuji and Nobura as I jumped through the roof

"Oh! Wow!" Nobura said dazed as I put them down, "slide down and get far," I instructed, "dad what about mom?" Megumi asked me

"I don't know, I really don't know."

Y/N POV

I did a flash step, grabbing the kids and went back to the stone pillar where they couldn't touch us

"Mama!" Nova hugged me as Sage cried, "it's okay, Sagey, you remember how to levitate?" I asked him and he nodded

"Okay, hold Nova," I said making him turn and I put her on his back and she held him tight as Toji came to the edge

"Levitate to daddy-" "mommy I'm scared," he whimpered and I kissed his head, "none of us will make you get hurt, just trust me. Go," I held them up and he closed his eyes, levitating in the air slowly

I saw Toji grab them and I could focus again. "You wanted my attention, now you have it," I said twirling the playful cloud in my hands

"Your son beat mine up, I think that's good enough for you to die," he said pulling out a sword as I stretched my arms
