"Why do you put up posters for roommates if you don't want roommates?" Izzy asked as she stood with George, Mason, and Meredith.
"I do want roommates," Meredith answered, "We're together a hundred hours a week. You want to live together too?"
Cristina walked in and said, "No. Oh, you're bringing bribes now?" She gestured to the coffee in Meredith's hand.
"We need a place to live," George started looking at Mason.
"It would be nice, but I'm not begging," Mason shrugged.
"Our mom irons are scrubs. We have to get out of there."
"It's not a bribe," Meredith told Cristina then looked at George and said, "I don't think it's a good idea."
"But Mason and I can put down last and first month's rent."
"It's totally a bribe," Mason agreed with Cristina.
"I can cook," Izzie tried, "And I'm an obsessive cleaner."
"No," Meredith said again, "I just want three total strangers who I don't have to talk to or be nice to, and it's not a bribe. It's a mocha latte."
Bailey walked out of the room and up to the desk. The interns ran up to the desk.
"George, you're running the code team," Bailey started, "Meredith, you take the trauma patients. Cristina, deliver the weekend labs to the patients. Izzie, you're on sutures. Mason, scut."
Meredith ran up to Bailey as she went to go upstairs, "Dr. Bailey, I was hoping to assist you in the OR today. Maybe do a minor procedure? I think I'm ready." Meredith lifted the coffee, "Mocha latte?"
"If she gets to cut, I want to cut too," Cristina joined.
"Yeah, me too," Izzie agreed.
"I wouldn't mind another shot. I mean if everybody else is..." George trailed off.
Mason knew better than to ask to scrub in.
"Stop talking," Bailey reprimanded, "Every intern wants to perform their first surgery. That's not your job. Do you know what your job is? To make your resident happy. Do I look happy? No. Why? Because my interns are whining. You know what will make me look happy? Having the code team staffed, having the trauma patients answered, having the weekend labs delivered, having someone down in the Pit doing sutures, and having the scut work done." Bailey grabbed the latte and began to head upstairs, "No one holds a scalpel until I'm so happy I'm Mary freakin' Poppins."
"Mocha latte my ass," Cristina said to Meredith.
"Why are ya'll standing there? Move!" Bailey yelled causing the interns to scramble.

Mason was standing at a desk scanning papers when George walked up next to her.
"Do you know what the code team does? Saves lives. I shock a heart, and then someone lives to see another day. It's upbeat. It's glass half full," George bragged.
"I love that you're happy right now, but I just don't want to see you broken hearted when something goes wrong," Mason warned.
"I love you, Masie," George said causing Mason to smile at the nickname, "But I've got this."
"I can't believe I'm on scut while your running codes. It's gonna take me all day just to scan these papers."
"Then don't get distracted," Bailey scolded.
"Oh, I'm just-"
"This intern was reassigned, so he's mine now," Bailey announced causing Mason to glance up and see Alex, "Have him shadow you for the day. You show him how I do things."
