Once Tanjiro and his friends recovered, they trained with Shinobu for a bit until they were ordered to join Rengoku on his mission. They all met at the train station and Rengoku smiled when he saw them.
"Glad you could join me, Young Kamado," Rengoku said.
"Glad we could work with you, Rengoku-san" Tanjiro said.
They all boarded the train and on their way, they were put to sleep. Nezuko woke up and tried to wake Tanjiro while Rengoku fought another demon that threw him out of the train. Tanjiro and Inosuke woke up and fought the demon so when Rengoku found them, he saw that they defeated it.
"Great job, Young Kamado," he said.
"Are you alright, Rengoku-san?" Tanjiro asked.
"Perfectly fine," Rengoku answered.
But as they start to go home, Tanjiro stopped as he saw someone standing in front of them.
"Another one?" he wondered.
Akaza turned around and saw them.
"Slayers," Akaza said.
"He's different," Tanjiro thought.
As they faced Akaza, they had a hard time fighting him. Inosuke and Zenitsu were knocked out while Tanjiro and Nezuko were trying to help Rengoku.
"Step away, young Kamado. I'll take care of him," Rengoku said.
"Entertain me more, Hashira" Akaza said.
Meanwhile, Azalea was taking a break when she felt uneasy.
"Is this the thing that Pa was talking about?" she wondered.
She stood up and started to ran. As she is just near the area, she saw that Akaza was about to kill Rengoku. So she immediately moved and took out her scythe. In a swift move, she slashed Akaza's hand and took Rengoku away from him.
Azalea was lucky that she's wearing a half mask, showing only the lower half of her face. She doesn't want to be recognized so she always make sure that she have her mask with her before going to missions.
"Who are you?" Akaza asked.
"You don't need to know," Azalea answered, coldly.
Tanjiro and Rengoku wondered who she is. Azalea looked around then at Tanjiro.
"Stay with Rengoku-san. I'll take care of him," Azalea ordered.
Tanjiro didn't say anything and followed her orders while she faced Akaza.
"Uppermoon? What made him order his uppermoon to move?" Azalea wondered.
Akaza took a stance while Azalea twirl her scythe on her hand and used the black blade.
"Shadow Breathing: 2nd Form: Shadow of the Moon"
A focused shadow energy formed on her blade then she slashed her scythe horizontally. Akaza just took his stance and he didn't saw that Azalea twirl her scythe again showing the blue blade and used another breathing.
"Ice Breathing: 4th Form: Silent Avalanche" she whispered.
With such incredible speed, she released a single, powerful slash that Akaza tried to block but got his hand decapitated.
"You are powerful. A worthy opponent," Akaza said.
But before he could use his BDA, he saw his hand isn't regenerating. The others saw it too and wondered.
"Why am I not regenerating?" Akaza asked, panic hidden in his voice.
"What did you do?!" he shouted.
Azalea just shrugged and was about to attack again when Akaza ran towards the woods as the sun was about come up. Instead of following him, Azalea just hid the blade of her scythe that turned into a staff and approached the group.
