I Look over towards Kian as he steers the wheel carelessly around the sharp curves. "You didn't win." He says still salty.
"Yes I did. You just can't take the fact that I won." I push him lightly as I try to keep for laughing too loud. "So...Taco Bell?" I ask in one word.
He looks over at me and smiles, "Well, Duh." He continues to direct the car along the road as his course slowly leads us the the big pink bell. We pull through the drive through and order a 12 pack of tacos and two drinks. I smile at him and beg for him to get me cinnabons. He does so and I hug him as he pulls through to the window. I pull away as the girl smiles sweetly at Kian. She leans over and shows her cleavage past the collar of her ugly work shirt. "That will be 15.63." she says adding a little giggle at the end which makes Kian shy away a bit.
"Um, babe will you grab me 63 cents out of the change holder?" I lean over and do as he asks, not daring to look back at the girl in the window as she shoots daggers at the back of my head. I hand him the change and kiss his cheek lightly.
"Here you go sweetheart." After he passes back off the change his brings his hand back and laces his fingers with mine. The girl finally closes the window with a huff and moves to grab our food and drinks. I laugh and lean into Kian who does the same laying his head on top of mine on his shoulder.
"Are we horrible?" I ask still laughing and holding onto Kian's hand.
"Nah. We're just not interested in her." He says putting emphasis on the "we're".
I can't help but think back to our conversation earlier and try to guess who his mystery soul-mate is. I think of all the girls he's dated and what his type is. I try to figure out who he would like but wouldn't tell even if he thought she did to. Maybe it's Shelby? It would explain why he won't tell anyone, with her dating his best friend and all. I try to think of more girls it could be but my brain keeps going back to Shelby. It must be her.
"Must be who?" Kian asks next to me.
"Do what?" I ask breaking away from my thought.
"You said it must be her."
"No I didn't. " i state trying to cover my tracks.
"Okay, whatever you say." Kiuan retorts squeezing my hand before letting go to retrieve our bags of food from the young girl again.
"Have a great day." She pushes out with a fake smile and closes the window yet again.
"Good day to you too," I state loudly hoping she's still close enough to hear me. Kian laughs at me and he passes on the food over and pulls the car out of the drive-thru lane.
We drive for a few minutes before pulling into an empty parking lot lightly lit by street lamps. We park close to a trash can and sit on the trunk of the car as we start eating. We're quiet for a long time before anything is finally said.
" I had a great night. Thank you Ash." I smile over at Kian.
Then as I finished up my taco I crumpled up the wrapper and tossed it from the trunk of the car into the trash can a few feet away. I hoot loudly as I raise my arms in victory.I look at Kian and smile widely. "I'm so awesome."
"Please. Anyone could do that." He says trying to shrug off my success.
"Why don't you give it a shot then." I dare as he takes the last bite of his burrito. He accepts my challenge as he quickly balls up his wrapper. I watch him smirk as he tosses the paper wrapper towards the big tin trash can. It sails through the air and right over the top as his smirk is lost and found on my lips.
"HA! And you said anyone could do it!" I start to laugh as I stand up and walk over in front of him and look up towards him. "I guess that makes you a nobody." I say laughing wildly.
"Whatever." He says as he grabs my hands and pulls them into his body.
I look up at him and met his eyes as he says something in a whisper. I try to concentrate as I realize I'm the only person he could be talking to. I stare at his lips looking for any remnants of the words that just escaped. "What was that?" I ask finally moving my eyes up to his just to see him looking down at my lips in return.
"What did you say?" He echo's. I feel a small giggle slip out as i grab onto his shirt and lean in putting my head in his chest. I breath in deeply taking his scent into my lungs. I feel his arms wrapped around me and slowly rub my back. I lift up slowly and look back at Kian. I open my eyes just long enough to see him lean down and gently press his lips to mine. He pulls away slightly after just a few seconds as if asking if it was okay. But before he was able to let out a single word my lips begin to miss the feeling of his and I wrapped my arms around his neck and pull him back in. His grip tightens and I feel shivers move over my body whenever he touches me. I feel his body slide off the car pushing fully against me before turning me around and pressing my back into the car in return. His hands move down to my hips and somehow pulls me even closer to him. I let out a small moan as I pull away.
I keep my eyes close and press our foreheads together just listening to him breath deeply.
"I think she just realized." He says before pressing our lips together again. Melting my body and mind into complete bliss.
