Unpacking

Ashley p.o.v

"That will be $15.25." the girl smiles and hands Jack the recipt, trying to pull the same move on him as the grocery store clerk did to me.

As he hands her the money he takes the receipt and smiles at her before grabbing the cup holders and caring them back to our table. "So is everything as it should be?" Jack asks then looks back at the girl and sliding the recite in his pocket.

"Awe looks like Jack has a not so secret admirer." Shelby teases.

"shut-up." Jack smirks then slides into the booth next to me in the food court. I smile to myself as I feel his hand glide down the side of my thigh slowly.

I grab one of the orange drinks out of the holder along with a wrap off of the taco bell tray from the center of the table. "So what do you have planned for today?" I hear Shelby ask.

"I was going to go back to the house and finish sitting all of my stuff up. What about you guys?" I answer then through the question back at them.

"Well you can count me in." Shelby says, "I haven't even got my clothes out of my bag yet.

"Well if you all are going to I think I might join. I am so sick of guys burping and farting around me." Shelby and I both laugh then force a burp. The only thing Jack does is laugh and says "gross." Before grabbing his drink and sipping from it.

Once we got to Andrea's house we all started un-packing. Jack and I went to my room and Shelby went to hers. "So what do I do first?" Jack asks rubbing his hands together.

"You can start folding clothes." I say laying a pile of clothes on my bed in front of him. Then I walked away to start decorating.

As Jack folded clothes we talked. "I've missed you Ashley. "He says making me stop in my tracks.

Then I continued putting up my pictures. "I've missed you to." I say trying to keep my voice leveled.

"No I mean I've really missed you. I miss watching you sleep on my chest. I miss kissing you while people swarm around us. Really I just miss us." I turn around and see him standing behind me. "It hurts seeing you with Connor."

"I miss you too, but I'm . . . "I start to say but am cut off by Jack.

"You're in love with Connor aren't you?" he asks making all the memories of Connor flash through my head.

"It seems like I've spent a life time with him but in all truth I've only known him for a month." I say realizing that it hasn't been even a month yet. "I don't miss us because I have you now. We may not be together but we're still together." I say hoping it made sense to him.

He smiles and hugs me. "Thank you." He whispers into my ear making me confused.

"For what?" I ask closing my eyes and hugging him back.

He pulls away and looks at me. "For giving me some kind of closer. I never thought I would even be here with you but now I see that, like you said, we're not together but we still get to be together, and that and seeing you happy is all I could ever need." He kisses my forehead and goes back to folding clothes.

I turn to start unrolling my posters and hear Jack speak again. "But if Connor hurts you I will rip his balls off and shove them down his throat." Jack says making me laugh.
