Hey yall so happy this book is finally back I have 3 days off school and I will be writing more
Draco really can't say summer has been eventful.
In his opinion, everything went by in a flash. No, really. It did.
"I sincerely wish Dobby was here with me." Draco mumbled as he crouched under some shrubbery, ignoring the screams and heat behind him in favor of casting cleansing charms in his surroundings.
"Oh bugger off, Dray. You would've called him the first chance you get." Pansy hissed, wiping away soot from her cheeks and wandlessly fixing her hair.
"I do believe," Blaise panted as he crawled near them. "Now is not the time for bickering."
"Right." Draco nodded, sighing.
The silver trio looked at the embers rising from the tents set ablaze by Death Eaters. Judging by the attack, there was no denying that a Death Eater caused it. With a forlorn sigh, they watched helplessly as magicfolk ran away. Shrieks and panicked screams were heard everywhere and they couldn't do anything to help.
What's in front of them wouldn't look out of place inside a book. A book about Fiendfyre accidents, more specifically. Draco fervently wished it was a Fiendfyre accident...and not this.
Okay, so maybe everything didn't went by in a flash. It's more of everything went up in flames. Their plans, Draco's promise to hang out with the Golden Trio, his recent letter to JoKer, the Quidditch pitch...and absolutely, many more. Fire is catching everywhere, and it was honestly getting a little too hard to breathe.
It was as if the merriness of the place vanished only to be replaced by lingering fear. It was almost comical that a minute ago, there was laughter in the air but now all they could hear was screaming.
Draco had to look away and bury his face by the crook of Pansy's neck, shielding his eyes away as a Death Eater slashed his way through the crowd of muggles. He can sense no magical signature so he's a hundred percent sure.
The echoes of pleads and sobs escalated, pained sounds and heavy thunks following. There was a moment of silence before it repeats again.
Draco shuddered, willing himself to forget the woman's screams of "No! Please don't! Please!"
Blaise immediately casted a silencing bubble, sparing a moment of smugness as he achieved it wandlessly. They're still minors, after all. Wandless magic is practically untraceable!
Draco slumped in relief as the world around them got muffled.
"Maybe we should get out of here." Pansy said shakily, eyes staring at the multitude of wounded and stunned figures just a few feet away. Pansy raised a hand and settled it into Draco's soft hair when he tried to lift his weight off her. "It's better if you don't see this right now, Dray."
"I'm the healer of the group, I should be immune to a bunch of dead bodies by now." Draco mumbled in protest though he resumed his previous position. No need to put more content in his nightmares, he decided.
