Chapter 10

(Kimmy's POV)

Hours go by. Kimmy slowly opened her eyes. Her head was pounding; there was a patch of dry blood on the side of her face. Her vision was blurred and everything was spinning. "Shit how long have I been out for?" Kimmy tried to help herself up but her arms were too weak.

"Fuck" Kimmy looks around realising she wasn't in that dark lifeless room anymore. "Shit where am I?" She looks around and sees the woods her and her friends were walking in. Kimmy gets up with the help of a tree. She could see her and all her friends walking and Anubis pointing at something in the distance.

"This isn't real... right?" Kimmy takes a few steps closer. A stick snaps as she steps on it causing bats to fly over. She looks over to the group and sees Katana look up at the bats. "Katana" Kimmy smiles softly watching her. She could hear herself and Bella having a small conversation. Then everything around her starts to spin. Her vision becomes blurry.

As she finally gets her vision back she appears in Room 1. Katana was on the ground using her shirt to stop the bleeding of her leg. Bella was trying to help her. Kimmy smiles at her friends. "I wonder if they are ok" Everything around her starts to spin again. Her vision becomes more blurry than before. Kimmy tries to blink the blurriness away. The light smell of blood filled the air as she found herself in the hallway.

"This is where we all got separated." Kimmy looks at everyone as they stand in front of their doors. As they all step in she sees Anubis and KitKat run away. "Did they not step in?" Kimmy watches as they run through her and down the hallway. Slowly she turns back to the door and sees a forty-eight hour timer emerge. "So we are timed for this" Kimmy nods slowly and watches as the seconds slowly tick by. Slowly her world spins again.

She was standing in the dark lifeless room. She looks at the corner and finds her body, her eyes shut holding the note with the riddle on it. "I stand still in your room, with a grin that spells doom. At night I come alive, in your fears, I thrive. Who am I?" Kimmy says out loud. "What the fuck?" Kimmy looks around. Slowly she hears something creep around the room.

"Shit" Kimmy panics. Her vision becomes blurry. "What stands still in my room" Kimmy looks around the room. Her body was still laying on the floor. The creature gets closer and closer to her. "Wake up" Kimmy crosses her fingers hoping she wakes up. The creature gets closer and closer. Her eyes shot open as she looked to where the creature would have been. Her breathing was heavy and shallow.

"Shit" Kimmy panics as she looks at the roof of the room. "I woke up" Kimmy sits up looking at her hands. She gently slapped her hand to make sure she was alive. "Holy shit that was... terrifying" Kimmy lays back onto the floor trying to process what happened. The image of the timer vividly ran through her mind. "I'm being timed" Kimmy says in realisation and picks up the note next to her. Kimmy then remembers the creature she saw earlier.

"That creature... It was fake" Kimmy looks around the room and finds no creature. "It was all a dream" Kimmy sighs with relief. "I mean it wasn't really a dream it was more of a nightmare" Kimmy re-reads the note then realises. "Nightmare. That's the answer" Kimmy gets up full of energy. "NIGHTMARE!" Kimmy yells. "I stand still in your room, with a grin that spells doom. At night I come alive, in your fears, I thrive. It's a nightmare" Kimmy says with relief. A door slowly emerges from the room. 

Kimmy sprints to the door, she rapidly twists the doorknob and pushes the door open appearing in a room with the timer. There were six hours left on the clock. Kimmy turns around and sees everyone's doors next to hers. "Dead?" Kimmy looks at the letters scratched onto Bella's, Anubis's and KitKat's door. "They're gone?" Kimmy runs her fingertips along the scratches feeling the cuts on the door.

"Far out" Kimmy looks at Lach's door with hope. "At Least someone is alive" Kimmy turns to Katana's door and lets out a sigh with relief. "She's alive" Kimmy then sits down against the wall. Her mind is still trying to figure out what just happened.
