Missing Demons

Kyle lays on his bed while talking to Axel, he was getting quite used to his company, but the longer they waited for Jack and Razzle's return, they never came. Kyle frowns, worry creeping into his thoughts. "I don't know. They should've been back hours ago. Something doesn't feel right." He paces around his room, unable to sit still. "Do you think something happened to them?" he asks Axel, his voice tinged with fear. Axel doesn't reply for a moment, and Kyle can sense that he's thinking deeply about the situation. "I don't know for sure, but it's possible. There have been rumors of other teams going missing recently. It could be related, but it could also be unrelated." Kyle pauses, taking a deep breath to steady his nerves. "What should we do?" he asks, half to himself. "Should we go look for them?" Axel nods slowly. "I think that's our best option. We can't just sit here and wait." Kyle grabs his phone and walks out the door, Axel slithering back into him as they left, they first headed to Alastor to see if he could be of assistance in finding them. As Kyle approaches Alastor's hideout, he can't help but feel a sense of urgency. He's worried about Jack and Razzle, and he's not sure what to expect from Alastor now that he knows about Axel. The sun is beginning to set, casting long shadows across the forest floor. "Alastor, we need your help. Jack and Razzle are missing, and we're worried something might have happened to them." Kyle blurts out as soon as he sees Alastor. Alastor looks surprised but quickly recovers "I see. Well, let's not jump to conclusions." Kyle nods, taking a deep breath to steady his nerves. "You're right. But we can't just sit here and do nothing. Should we start looking for them?" Alastor pauses for a moment, considering the situation. "I'll help you search. But first, we need to gather some information." Axel slithers out of Kyle to make his presence known. "Y'know Al, if their apart to long they'll start going crazy, they physically and emotional can't live without the other due to being halves of the same person." Alastor glances over at Axel, a frown creasing his brow. "I'm aware of that, Axel. But we need to be methodical in our approach. Kyle and I have some contacts we can reach out to for more information. While we're doing that, you can start searching the areas they were last seen." "I know we have to be more methodical but listen numb-brain, Kyle and Jack are 2 halves of 1 person, there not each a full person, it's why Haiden did what he could in his power to keep them together, there both physically and emotional depended on each other because they share DNA from one another that keeps them alive, without then together they wont survive." Alastor sighs heavily. "All right, Axel. You have a point. But we still need to find out what happened to them before we start assuming anything. Kyle, you and Axel can start searching the places where Jack and Razzle were last seen." Axel scoffed and laughed under his breath."your not getting the riddle Goldie, and you're the one that liked riddles, I'm saying we have a limited amount of time to find him before one of them falls, and there is no predicting which one will fall first, they'll both end up falling eventually if he's not found." "Axel, that's enough," Kyle says firmly, glancing at Alastor. "We all know what's at stake here. Let's just focus on finding them as quickly as possible." Alastor nods, his expression serious. "Right. We'll split up and cover more ground." Kyle, Axel and Alastor split up to search for Jack and Razzle. As they comb through the familiar places where they were last seen, a sense of urgency begins to build within them. Time is ticking away, and with each passing minute, their chances of finding Jack and Razzle alive diminish. Axel had to fend for himself without Kyle for abit while searching, as he wasn't watching where he was going he tripped over a kid. "the fuck?" Axel got back up and looked at the kid, the kid had a purple hoodie, a gray mask, and short brown hair. The kid looked up at Axel wide eyed."What's the matter? never seen a latex?" "Axel! Watch your language," Kyle hisses over their mental link. "And be nice. This kid doesn't know what he's getting into." Kyle sounds worried about both Axel and the young boy. "oh piss off and keep looking for Jack ,Kyle." Axel looked back down at the kid, it didn't seemed scared anymore but something about the kid seemed to bring Axel a bit of solace. The kid looks confused at first, then annoyed. "My name isn't 'kid', dumbass. It's Yumi. And I'm not gonna keep telling you what I'm doing, 'cause you're being a real jerk right now." Axel grinned. "Well, Yumi, it's good to meet someone who can keep up with my sass. You're not gonna tell me what you're doing, huh? Well, I'm not gonna tell you this, either. But you're in the middle of a dangerous game."Yumi looks Axel up and down, not entirely sure what to make of him. He's not like any of the other Demon Tamers they've met before. "So, you're one of them, huh?" they says, nodding towards Axel. "What's it like? Being a Latex, I mean." "Well, Yumi, it's..." Axel pauses, considering his words carefully. "It's not something I would wish on my worst enemy. It's dangerous, it's lonely, and it's hard to explain. But there are some people who have treated me kindly, and I'm grateful for that." As Axel finishes speaking, he realizes that he has revealed more about himself than he intended to. But somehow, talking to Yumi feels different. It's almost like he's been able to connect with the young demon tamer on a deeper level. "I see," Yumi says slowly, nodding thoughtfully. Yumi was still talking with Axel, They got thoughts from their friend who could communicate telepathically with them. "Hey Yumi! Who ya talkin to?" Yumi glances around, making sure they're not being watched. "It's just some Latex named Axel. He's... different from the others." They pauses, considering their words. "He actually seemed kinda nice." "oh Axel! i know him, he's family to me! where is he now?" the voice seemed happy to hear the name was very familiar to Yumi's conscious friend. "Oh, really?" Axel asks, curious. "Who's family?" Yumi hesitates for a moment, not sure how much to reveal. "My... friend, He's a Latex, Just like you. He... he took care of me when I didn't have anyone else." Axel looked at Yumi, nodding slowly as the young demon tamer spoke. He could tell that there was more to the story than they were saying, but he also knew that it was important for Yumi to feel comfortable sharing whatever they wanted to share. "I see," Axel says gently. a voice rang out between Axel and Yumi, it wasn't either of them."Hey there!" Yumi jumped slightly at the sound of the voice, looking around. "Oh there here." they whisper. The voice seems to come from all around them, as if it's coming from the very air itself. "hehe! Did i scare ya?" a white latex materializes from Yumi, it's smile seeming to grow when it sees Axel. Axel watches as the white latex appears next to Yumi, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "No, not at all. It's good to meet you," he says, offering a small wave. The white latex giggles, "Don't you remember me silly? It's Me!" Axel recognized the voice after that, he hadn't even seem his brother in years, the very person he has been trying to find sense they were split from eachother. Axel's heart skips a beat as he realizes who the white latex is. "A-Ari...?" he stammers, feeling an overwhelming rush of emotions. Tears prick at the corners of his eyes as he takes a step closer to his brother, reaching out to touch him.Artemis, also Ari, now in white latex, rushes over to Axel, wrapping his arms around him tightly. "It's so good to see you again, brother!" he whispers, tears streaming down his face. Axel returns the embrace, holding onto Artemis as if he's afraid to let go. "So... this is where you've been hiding, huh, Axel?" Artemis asks, a small smile playing on their lips. "It's nice to see you two reunited like this." Axel looks over at Yumi, a grateful smile on his face. Kyle's voice cuts through Axel's emotional reunion with his brother. "Axel, are you okay? We need to keep looking for Jack." Axel pulls away from Artemis reluctantly, wiping away his tears."I'm fine, Kyle. Just found something important." Artemis looks at Axel, "have you found a host yet? i found Yumi awhile back and they agreed to host me until we can reapproach him again." "Yeah, I found someone too," Axel replies. "But i kinda just charged them but they've been understanding." Artemis stops for a second, "you didn't tell them your situation?" "well I did, c'mon Ari you know how i am." Artemis facepalms at his brother. "Ugh, you're hopeless," Artemis sighs, shaking his head. "But at least they seem to be okay with it. now who did you say you were looking for?" As they continue talking, Axel updates Artemis on the situation with Jack and Razzle, as well as the search efforts of himself, Kyle, and Alastor. Artemis listens intently, his expression growing more and more concerned."That doesn't sound good at all," he mutters. Yumi glances back and forth between Axel and Artemis, trying to understand what's going on. They had no idea that Axel had a brother, let alone one who was also a Latex. "So, uh... you guys are... twins?" Yumi asks, tentatively. Axel chuckles, "Polar opposite brothers, with my sass this guy can't take any dark humor." Yumi giggles, "Well, I guess that makes sense. You two are pretty different." Artemis smiles at Yumi, "Thanks for saying that. It's nice to meet someone who can see past the Latex, you know?" Yumi nods solemnly. "Yeah, it's just..." They trail off, lost in thought. Axel watches them, noticing the worry in their eyes. "What's wrong?" he asks gently. Yumi takes a deep breath, "It's just... I don't know if I can do this. Being a demon tamer, I mean. It's..."Axel places a comforting hand on Yumi's shoulder. "I understand how you feel, Yumi. It's a difficult decision, and a huge responsibility. But know that you're not alone. There are others like us who will support you, and help you through this." Axel looked at Artemis, who nods in agreement. "I can't promise that everything will be easy, or that there won't be hard times. But I can promise you that we'll be here for you, every step of the way." Yumi looks up at Axel, their eyes filled with gratitude. "Thanks... I think I might need that." They take a deep breath, steeling themselves for the road ahead. "Alright, then. Let's find this Jack guy and sort this whole thing out, huh?" Axel grins, "Sounds like a plan!" He nods at Artemis, who also flashes Yumi a reassuring smile. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to have a quick word with Kyle."Axel walks over to Kyle and Alastor, leaving Artemis and Yumi together. "Hey, Axel. What's up?" Kyle asks, curious. "Just wanted to let you know that my brother, Artemis here, is going to be sticking around and helping out. He's..." Axel trails off, glancing over at Artemis, who is deep in conversation with Yumi. Kyle follows his gaze and smiles. "It's good to see you two reunited. You must be really close." Axel returns the smile, a touch of sadness in his eyes. "Yeah, we are." "So, what exactly is your plan then?" Alastor asks, his tone more direct. "You seem to have a pretty solid idea of what's going on, so let's hear it." Axel nods, "Alright, here's the plan." Axel begins to outline his plan to find Jack and Razzle, taking into account the information they've gathered so far. He suggests searching the area around the tavern where they last saw Jack, as well as questioning any demons or locals they come across. Yumi listens to Axel's plan, nodding thoughtfully. "That sounds like a good place to start," they say. "I'll try asking around at the tavern, see if anyone remembers seeing them or knows where they might have gone. And if anyone gives me any trouble, I can always just..." They trail off, gesturing vaguely at their demon taming gear. "Right. Just let me know if you need any help," Axel says, sensing that Yumi might need some space. Yumi nods, "Will do."As they prepare to set out, Artemis approaches Kyle and Axel. "So, Kyle, you didn't mention what you and Axel were looking for, before I came along. You don't mind me tagging along, do you? I'd like to help." Artemis says, his tone gentle but determined. Kyle shrugs. "Well, I mean, we could use the help." Axel nods in agreement, "The more the merrier, right? We appreciate it, Artemis." Kyle looks at Artemis, then at Axel, a small smile playing on his lips. "Just be careful, okay? We don't want any more misunderstandings." Axel laughs. "Don't worry, Kyle. I'll keep an eye on him." He winks at Artemis, who rolls his eyes good-naturedly. They all set off in search of Jack and Razzle, navigating the twisting streets and alleys of the city.
