It was now a few days later, A few days later since it was announced that me and Martinus had to work together...

I was shocked and so was he.

I was because out of all people it had to be him, I know I did wish for it to be someone I knew but that it would be Martinus... I did not see that coming at all and I knew for sure Bradley would be angry about this.

And he was because this meant I would have to come over to his house and see Marcus there, he was still angry so he thought this could be a problem and honestly so did I.

Now my biggest worry was how to work on this project without Bradley noticing and yes, that was my only option.

Today was that day, the day were we had to work on it for the first time together outside of school. I was now at Bradley's house as he kept insisting for me to come over, which makes it even worse now. I know I could've simply said no but that would've made him even more suspicious as he knew I had nothing to do today.

I was now watching TV, sitting down on his couch while he was getting some drinks. I almost had to leave since I had be be there at 3PM and it was now 2:30PM and I still had to get there aswell.

If I wanted to be on time, I'd have to leave soon.

"I'm back" He then said excited as he made his way back over to me and sat down next to me on the couch.

He put my drink on the small table in front of us and kept on holding his in his hand.

"Is something up?" He asked, now looking at me at he took a sip from his drink.

I shook my head and tapped on my phone, that was laying next to me to see the time. I was getting nervous.

"Why are you behaving like that then? You weren't like this before..." He looked at me confused.

I then sighed and quickly grabbed my stuff.

"I'm sorry but I have to go" I said as I stood up and looked around to see if I haven't forgotten anything.

He then looked at my drink and then back at me. He took it.

"But I just went to get this for you, you didn't even drink any of it?" He was clearly getting more and more confused, my plan to make up something didn't work, he was defenitely getting suspicious.

"I thought you were going to stay until dinner, why the sudden need to leave?"

I took my phone from the couch and put it away in my pocket. Luckily I found it on time or that could've been a problem.

I then looked up at him, I knew I'd have to give him an answer and better a good one. I had to come up with something so he'd stop asking questions. I feel bad for lying to him but it's better than being in another fight yet again.

I wanted everything to stay the way it was right now and plus it's not like I'm really doing something wrong...

"I uh kind of forgot, I had an appointment and I have to be there really soon" I said, trying to explain as calm as possible.

I could only hope he didn't hear the shaking in my voice because I am a terrible liar.

"And you suddenly know now?" He asked.

"Yeah, my mom just texted me" I replied.

I then sighed.

"Look, I'd really like to stay longer, it has nothing to do with you"

I could see he started thinking so as his face expression started to looking kind of sad now instead of confused. I know he wanted me to stay but I couldn't...
