"It's finally prom!" Katie squealed as she walked in my house with rollers in her hair and a suitcase.
"Let's straighten your hair!" Nicole said happily, "alright" I replied. I sat down as she fixed up my hair.
It was straight with my sides braided and connected to each other with a gold barrette of a lion.
"I brought makeup for everyone" Katie said as she held up a box, "is this from your beauty class?" Nicole asked.
"Yeah but don't ruin it because I need them for class" she said which caused us to roll our eyes.
We began fixing ourselves for our perfect night.
"Can't believe I'm going with a guy I actually really like" I admitted which caused their eyes to bulge out.
"Leila James admits her feelings about Ryder?" Nicole asked shocked, "oh come on" I laughed.
There was a knock on my door and my mother appeared from it. She's back from her cruise early?
"Leila there's a boy outside for you" my mum said, who would that be?
I walked down seeing Ryder standing there in uniform and a backpack.
"Ryder why are you here I'm not ready?" I asked confused, "Leila can we talk outside?" He asked looking over seeing my friends behind me.
"What's wrong?" I asked, "you look breathtaking" he said staring at me with awe. "Oh silly you just ruined the spoiler" I giggled.
"I'm leaving today right now" he spoke out. My eyes bulged out, "I love the way you style your hair" he said touching my hair lightly trying to change the subject.
"What why?" I asked shocked, "the navy said I need to be back" he bit his lip.
"I'm sorry Leila" he sighed, "well I guess the navy needs you more than I do" I said sadly.
"Goodbye Leila James" he said as he got up.
"Goodbye Ryder scanlon" I smiled as I give him one last kiss before he left.
"I love you"
