Lately a lot of moas have been more biased towards Kai and he feels...conflicted. While he likes being seen that way, being favourited by so many people. He feels a pessimistic lump in his throat, he fears these are pity votes. Plus he doesn't mind being the least favourited, someone has to take that label and he doesn't want the others to carry it
He also feels ungrateful, he's part of such a successful band and is almost famous. He doesn't want to take it for granted but it feels surreal, dissociating sort of. How could this be real, he's really famous...
"Kai!", he jolts in surprise as a voice from his phone shakes him from his train of thought
"Sorry what?"
"You've been staring off into space for the last 5 minutes, are you okay? You seem distracted"
"Lea, I'm fine"
"How are the members, are they treating you well?"
"Yeah but I can't help but feel jealous...", he frowns slightly
A look of concern washes over the latter, "Why?"
"They're just all so...handsome and like, I catch myself staring at them. They've even got me feeling shy and flustered"
She lets out an annoyed sigh, "yes, as you've told me a million times already. Sounds more like you have a crush on them"
"W-what?? That's ridiculous, we're just friends", he stumbles over his words, like he's just been caught in a lie
Taehyun enters the room after practice, he's all hot and sweaty. He looks like he wants to collapse
"Finally! Finally mastered that stupid dance"
"Hi Terry!"
His walks over to the computer desk and stands behind Kai's chair, "Hey Lea, long time no see"
"How's little Kai been? He's not been causing you any trouble right?"
He chuckles softly, "No, no trouble at all. In fact he's been a delight"
He places his hand on Kai's shoulder and squeezes soft and teasingly"I'll talk to you later okay? Bye Lea!"
"Wait- Kai!"
He quickly ends the call and closes the laptop before Taehyun turns the desk chair around, Kai now facing him
