Miraculous: The Rise of Ladybug and Cat Noir

Chapter 7

Marinette threw her chiming yo-yo forward, grasped the yo-yo to a gargoyle statue. She pulled the yo-yo and gasped when it whisked back to her all while trilling. While Marinette was shuddering from all of the weird stuff including the yo-yo, her sister got up in awe of the self aware tool and slowly reached out to touch it, it pulled back the moment she made contact with it. It started softly chirping before it wrapped itself around Marinette multiple times before zooming off taking her shouting with it.

"Have fun defeating that giant stone guy!" Bridgette called after her sister as she waved and then she was left all alone in the rooftop garden which had roses of all its colors, English Ivy, chives, cilantro, lavender, and Marinette's Penjing.
Meanwhile, Adrien was humming to himself while tightrope walking over his staff, "Ah, I'm starting to get the hang of this. Gosh, it's been so long since I've walked on my own! No crutch, and most certainly NO leg-braces," he said to himself in glee. He then paused as he heard screaming, and he saw a girl in a red and black suit zooming straight for him, she was another superhero.
She slammed into him, and they both crashed through a stained glass window and into Notre-Dame Cathedral where she fell in his arms causing him to lose his balance. They both fell and Marinette's yo-yo wrapping around them both, suspending them from Adrien's staff, trapping them. "Well, bonjour, nice of you to drop in," he joked.

"Where... am I?" Marinette asked confused.
She then looked below and screamed.
"What do you think you're doing?" he asked her. "This is a dangerous place for a young lady."
The yo-yo loosened, sending Marinette plummeting to the ground of Notre-Dame, where she landed on her face. Then she groaned as she sat upright to stand up while looking around to get her bearings.
"Excuse me, I'm no damsel in distress," Marinette finally answered him with a slightly annoyed tone as she looked around some more. "Who even are you?"
"I bet you're the sidekick my kwami told me about. I'm..." Adrien paused, trying to think of a good superhero name, and then he saw an old picture of the famous Théophile Steinlen poster art of the Parisian establishment, Le Chat Noir hanging on the side of a nearby building that gave him an idea and he then responded with, "Cat Noir. Yeah, Cat Noir. I'm the new hero in town. Here, to save the world."

"Do I know you?" Marinette asked as she became increasingly annoyed by this "Cat Noir" bafoon.
As she let the name sink in she found it to be ridiculous, Marinette then snorted and made air quotes with her hands as she mocked, "So you're here to save the world, eh? HA! With what, furballs?"
"And what are you supposed to be? A watermelon?" Cat Noir mocked back.
Marinette suddenly started glaring daggers at him as she yelled infuriated, "EXCUSE ME? What?! I'm... here to save the world. ...Too Fleabag."
Cat Noir told her while being amused, "I can see that, now would you mind terribly getting me down?"
"By the way, I am NOT a fruit I'm supposed to be a ladybug! I'm Ma... err... Mar... uhm..." Marinette stammered as she tugged and pulled on the yo-yo to free it and it came down hitting Cat Noir's head. "Maladroit. I'm so madly clumsy," she said embarrassed.
"No sweat, clumsy girl. I'm learning the ropes too. Say, you're right on time, plus you're not that bad, just a mini menace that's all, for a ladybug themed superhero sidekick," Cat Noir reassured her.
"Um, thank you?" Marinette said in a confused tone, not sure whether to take that as an insult or what. Until it finally clicked into place, "I am not a side-"
"So, you have any ideas where Stoneheart is?" Cat Noir asked, cutting her off.
"Well, do you have a plan?" Marinette angrily asked.
"A plan? Do I have a plan? I have more than a plan." Cat Noir scoffed, which made Marinette smile until Cat Noir said "I have nine lives."
She then frowned at Cat Noir showing off while continuing to brag "The devastating power of Destruction. Night Vision." He then added while leaning toward "Sharp senses! (imitating a cat then backs away) Nothing can sneak up on me!" Cat Noir continued while imitating a cat as he slowly backed away from her. But all Marinette could think was just how much time this Cat Noir bafoon was wasting.
Cat Noir continued showing off to her by pulling out his staff in which he extended "Not to mention my weapon. This all in one thingamajiggy Ready for take down!"
Marinette finally had had enough of Cat Noir's boasting and slapped him while also shouting "WILL YOU FOCUS ALREADY?!"
After that, Marinette told him "Hm, let's see where were we. oh that's right! Stoneheart!He's headed towards the Stadium, he's after this kid named Kim." Suddenly, the floor trembled. Cat Noir saw a building crashing down and extended his staff and vaulted over to Paris' rooftops to go where it was.
"Hey! Where are you going?" Marinette called after him.
"To save Paris, right?" Cat Noir called back.
"Ugh," Marinette said to herself, along with "Trust yourself, trust yourself, this is your second chance..." she then sighed and thought to herself, "Okay then, let's go!" she then used the yo-yo to swing around and follow Cat Noir, screaming all the while.
Meanwhile, at the Parc des Princes, the students were finishing up P.E. But then Stoneheart appeared, jumping onto the wall of the stadium.
