Esme sat on the couch next to Taylor listening intently. Meanwhile, the pack was in the backyard around a roaring bonfire. Shar had run across them when her brother took her camping out in the woods. Turns out they were a pretty cool group and Shar clicked with them. Soon enough her circle grew.

"You ladies need anything?" Emily said in a hyper voice. She was such a hostess, and Luke lucked out with her. They were cute together. Esme smiled and declined, all she wanted was Shar. She kept wishing that she was here with her right now.

The door opened and Shar's voice was heard, "Hey Em? Can, you help me in the bathroom real quick?" She slowly walked through the door, with her jacket pulled together to hide the wound.

Emily jumped "Bathroom is right this way." She kept herself calm and made it seem like nothing was wrong. "We'll be just a moment kids." Luke's ice-blue eyes stared at how Shar had changed. He hadn't seen her since she left for the Underground.

Emily shut the bathroom door behind them. Shar looked at her friend as she pulled off her jacket. "First off, it's good to see you again sister. Second, what happened?" The two had been like family years ago. Emily moved closer to inspect the hole in Shar's shoulder.

Shar smiled as her friend's soft hands went to work. "Well, simply put, the little bastard shot me. But that's the least of his worries now." Shar laughed softly. "Glad to see you too siss. It's been way to long." Emily smiled up at her as she moved her red hair from her face. "I see you dyed your hair again." She said grinning.

"Ya, I think I will stick with this for a while, and Luke seems to really like it." Emily smiled and blushed at the mention of her lover's name. "What the hell was this?" She softly finished wrapping Shar's shoulder.

"Only a copper bullet. The copper did most of the damage." Shar smiled softly. "Thanks siss, keep this. I don't need them to worry."

Emily took hold of Shar's arm. "And this doesn't?!" She eyed the gash.

Shar tried to look innocent. "They don't know of that either."

"Oh, I see." Emily shrugged it off knowing it would do no good. "Alright, you're done. You better get out there, Esme's about to head out." Shar nodded.

"Sorry about that." Shar said as Taylor pounced on her. "Easy there Kitten."

"Sorry batty." Taylor let go and Esme took her place, softly wrapping her arms around her.

"How was work? I was starting to worry you weren't gonna make it." Esme's tone was almost sad. She let go letting her fingers drag down Shar's arms.

Shar winced. "Work was, fun. And I told you I would be here." Shar looked hard into Esme's eyes knowing she was avoiding the truth. "Well, you were on your way out, right? I'll give you a lift." Taylor looked up at her. "You want one too?"

Taylor looked around. "Well I was going to stay here overnight and Blaze will pick me up for school." Taylor wiggled like a puppy. Blaze already meant a lot to her.

"Alright then, have fun." Shar winked and blew her a kiss. "Sorry to show and run, but I will be back, maybe this weekend." They said a quick goodbye as they walked out the door.

The red jeep eased out of the driveway. "So did you have fun?" Shar asked Esme. She didn't realize how much the goth angel meant to her. And how much she missed her. Her heart in a way that wasn't from her earlier fight.

"Your friends are really nice. Ya, I had a good time." Esme said as she snuggled into her seat.

" Are you hungry?" Shar asked.
