First day.

Being a young, single mom came with its challenges but all of it was worth it for your son. He's your pride and joy.

"Mommy where are we going?" He whined, kicked his feet and wriggled his body begging to be let out of the car seat.

"Just a second baby we're almost there my love." You sighed at the thought of how this is your life now. The last 5 years have been tough but you managed to push past every obstacle based on everything you've been through. Your parents, your pregnancy, your ex. All to get to this point. Working the most grueling shifts while you were pregnant and even now to support milo and yourself. But it was worth it. Milo was worth it. He's all the family you have right now.

"Mommy where are we?" Milo looked around excitedly at his new surroundings. You got out of your car and walked around to take milo out of his car seat, and picked him up.

"Milo honey, it's your first day of grade school, are you excited?" You tried to put on your best smile for him so he wouldn't get discouraged.

"Mommy I don't wanna go!" He quickly clung to your shirt gripping as hard as he could. "Please don't go mommy!" He cried. You took a deep breath knowing this was gonna be a long process. "Milo, you have to go to school to be smart okay? Besides if I get a good report today, I'll let you get some cars later okay?" Milo quickly stopped whining and his head perked up at the sound of his favorite thing, cars. "Okay mommy I will do good in school today!"

You let out a sigh of relief thanking above for that not being more difficult that you thought it would be. You put milo down and pointed him in the direction of the lady standing by the door directing other kids in. You soon followed suit to quickly sign him in and leave, as you were about to be late for work.

"Name of the child?" the older woman at the front desk asked.
"Milo l/n" you responded.
"He's in Mr.Sugawara's class. All of the children will be at the front for dismissal which is at 3:00. You also have to sign your child out or his attendance will not be accounted for." The older woman informed you uninterested in your presence.
"Thank you ma'am." You showed her a polite smile then left for work.

'I hope Milo is gonna be okay today..' you thought. In the past you always let yamaguchi take care of milo while you were at work but this was different, he was with people you didn't know. But he needed to learn so you pushed your unease aside and focused on getting to work safely.

"Hey, sorry im late. I had to drop my son off for his first d-" you were cut off by a groggy voice, "save it, y/n your pay is gonna get docked for being late you already know the rules." You sighed. This new schedule is going to be so hard to balance. "I apologize Mr. Sato. Wont happen again."

Working at a grocery store wasn't your ideal way of spending your twenties. Though you had a college degree in healthcare, it was difficult to find a job best suited for your abilities because of your personal life. So this was good enough to support yourself and your son. Everyday you wished that something would change. But the best has yet to come your way.

Ahhhhhhhhhhshwhnnsn I literally could not wait to work on this, i suck at multitasking so i archived the tsukishima book to focus on this because i have more plans for this than tsukishima (sorryyy!)
