Donald finished the K9 training within a month, but he couldn't be considered a full fledged police dog because he wasn't grown enough yet. He still kept up with his training to ensure he stayed fit.
While at the police station, he stayed by Jake's side. He mainly either napped or watched videos or read some books on a laptop Jake provided him with. Occasionally, Jake would ask his input on a case and Donald would assist him.
At home, Donald spent most of his time with Kingsley. Kingsley would try making different recipes for dog meals and Donald would taste test them to determine which ones he liked best. They pass time by watching TV together in Kingsley's room. Kingsley always hugged Donald to sleep, fearing that he might disappear.
Wolf still liked to annoy Donald. Most of it was verbal mockeries that Donald ignored but sometimes Wolf would buy dog toys to make fun of him. Donald tore the wolf plushy apart as if to threaten Wolf, but it only made him laugh. One time he bought a dog whistle and Kingsley snatched it out of his hands and snapped it in two.

Donald became a full fledged police dog at nine months old. He joined Jake on patrols and sometimes wore a hidden camera and listening device while pretending to be a stray dog to record criminals' conversations. Whenever he was needed to track down a criminal and attack, he successfully apprehending the culprits.
On Donald's one year birthday, Jake and Baekjin were both called out to help with a bus accident in the mountains at night. The Heavy Rescue Squad didn't have any dogs to help them track down survivors that had gotten separated from the group. Jake and Donald both recognized some of the passengers.
"Ben Park?" Jake addressed the redhead.
"Jake Ji?" Ben, whose injuries had been treated by the medics and was now sitting with his group of friends, saw Jake. "You're a cop now?"
"Yeah," Jake nodded. "Do you know how many people are missing?"
"Just Gray," Ben answered. "He..."
"He was thrown out the window when the bus driver lost control," Alex informed. "He was sent flying down the slope,"
'The White Mamba's missing?' Donald, without waiting for any orders, bolted down the steep slope.
"Shouldn't you chase after your dog?" Gerard asked. "It's dark and he just ran off by himself,"
"It's also storming pretty badly," Rowan added. "He might get lost or hurt,"
"There's a tracker and a walkie talkie attached to his vest," Jake informed. "And he's a smart dog. He'll let me know via walkie talkie if he found Gray,"

The rain made his fur heavy against his skin as he ran around the area, carefully scanning for any sign of Gray. 'He couldn't have gotten too far from the scene of the accident,' However the ground kept on sloping even after the initial steep slope.
He heard the roar of the nearby river and was worried that Gray might have fallen in. As he approached the river, a flash of lightning revealed that Gray was lying near the riverbank. Donald trotted over to him and gently nudged his face.
"Ugh..." Gray slowly regained conscious. "A dog?" He noticed the words on Donald's collar. "Baekjin...Seoul Police Department K9 Unit?" He saw the police vest that Donald was wearing.
'Follow me,' Donald made a motion with his head. 'Can you walk?'
Gray attempted to stand but immediately fell back down and held his leg. "I think my leg's broken,"
Donald took out his walkie talkie to contact Jake.
"Did you find him, Baekjin?"
Donald barked three times.
"Alright, we'll head to your location right now,'
All of a sudden, the ground of the area of the riverbank they were on gave away. Donald and Gray fell into the raging river. Donald lost the walkie talkie as he went downstream quickly.
"Baekjin! Baekjin, what's going on!? What happened!? Baekjin! BAEKJIN! DONALD!"
Donald swam over to Gray who seemed a bit disoriented and probably had a concussion. He did his best to keep Gray's head above the water but he was useless against the raging rapids. He tried pulling Gray by his hoodie towards the riverbank but he wasn't strong enough.
'What am I still weak?' Donald stared up at the bright full moon. 'I hate being weak and I hate being useless!' His eyes glowed before spreading to the rest of his body and shifting him to his human form. He looked identical to his appearance before he died, sans all of his injuries.
Donald didn't understand what had just happened or why it happened. But he didn't have time to dwell on it. He got a proper grip on Gray and managed to drag him to the riverbank. Donald helped Gray cough up some water.
"Donald Na?" Gray stared at him with wide eyes. He wasn't sure if his head wound was causing him to hallucinate.
"It really is me but you should get your head wound checked regardless," Donald said as he hoisted Gray onto his back and started walking in the direction of the rest of the rescuers.
"Donald!" Jake exclaimed once he saw them at the bottom of the steep slope.
The other rescuers assisted Donald and Gray in climbing up the slope. The medics immediately began looking Gray over while the Eungang and Jake stared at Donald in shock.
"Wait, what happened to Jake's dog!?" Ben exclaimed.
"Baekjin Ji is actually the reincarnation of Donald Na," Jake revealed. "But...Donald has never been able to return to his human form before,"
"It was the full moon," Donald claimed. "For some reason, my desperation caused me to look at it and the moon initiated my transformation. I can feel that this transformation will only last approximately twenty four hours though,"
"So you're some kind of reverse weredog?" Jake pondered.
"I don't understand exactly what's going on," Ben said. "But Donald Na, thank you for saving Gray,"
"I want to go home and take a hot shower," Donald mumbled. "Jake, finish things up with any other stuff we gotta do here. I'll wait in your car,"
This version of Donald reverting back to human form is much tamer and down to earth compared to the original version I had planned.
Next chapter will be the final chapter.
