Somewhere we'll be together again
30 years passed, and I stayed to be single. While Lexie is married and has 4 children with my colleague.
They're happily married and be their best man."Uncle Ian!" Lizzy said, running up to me.
" Oh, hello... Lizzy, " I said, smiling at her.
"Can you tell me the story of your first love?" She asked
"My first love?" I asked.
"Yes! Why didn't you get married again?" She asked.
"Because no matter what or how much... you love a person... you can't deny and forget everything you love about her." I said.
" Aunt Errien is so lucky you're so faithful." She said
"No... I was so lucky... Because I met her and being faithful to a person is her. Who waited for me those 58 years until now... I will only love my moon and stars, my Errien." I said.
"Uncle, you really sound like a grandpa..." She said.
" I don't mind," I said slightly, laughed.
"Mom is so worked up on the gallery garden cafe... she forgot to take it slow...geez!" She said, pouting.
"That cafe is given by your aunt Errien, and if you mom lose it. It will feel like she lost a piece of her again.
But, please remind her of the Will to take care of herself and tell your father to distract her from it.
All material things will soon be lost, but her love and treasure are us and our happiness.
To all, human who surpress their feelings with in are the kindest people and strongest will to persevere.
Never judge a person by their actions or their past. Because we'll never know what they been through and their untold secrets." I said, smiling at her.
There, she just nodded and thought of giving her the apartment.
" Lizzy, ever since you we're young, you're always curious with your aunt Errien.
I'll give you this... I may not be young to go further to her younger goals ,but you can.
You are talented like your aunt, but remember your differences will make you both understand the same thing.
This note through joyful and painful experience. You'll learn more and understand her perspective in life.
No matter what differences you are, remember you're the person of yourself. You chose what path you'll take and never regret. Because it's always just a phase.
I also wrote mine if you are curious. It's the continuous of that note. Maybe, now you can write yours." I said, smiling at her.
July 24th ... I went to the cemetery with a blue snowdrop and white chrysanthemums to put it in the tombstone of Errien Claude.
It was the first and last girl I met and loved. On my way back, I had a heart attack and collapsed. I was lastly taken to the hospital and be confined for a week, but in the 6th day . I was in my last breath and couldn't wake up for another day on earth.
I saw a girl in the field of flowers. As I started to walk towards her.
"Ian?" She asked
A familiar voice that I halted and made me teared up.
"Errien..." I said
She turned around and looked at me with a smile. I immediately ran towards her and embraced her.
"Errien!! I missed you!" I said, crying off and hugging her closely.
"Mhm.. i know you do.." She said, patting my head and smiling at me.
"Errien...My Errien... I love you... I love you," I said, crying off.
"Hm... I love you too...my Ian.. welcome home, " She said, smiling at me.
There, I nodded and looked at her.
"I'm home, my Errien..." I said, smiling at her.
She just stood there smiling at me. Then I slowly caressed her cheek and lift up her chin and kiss her.
As I stopped, I saw her flustered, and I thought it was cute. She stomped my feet, and I remembered she was that type of person.
"Ow!" I said
"Y-you idiot?!" She said, getting more flustered.
There, I laughed and looked at her.
" You never changed, Errien," I said, smiling at her.
"Pffttt.."She said, then laughed.
"From before to now... I always waited for this moment. The way you want me to help people to seek justice. Yet, I learned more and more people's nature and motives. Neither good or bad.
You taught me that every deceives smile . I always fall to yours. Because I always put myself first than anyone else, especially you.
That's why... I'm sorry for leaving and distancing away. I was selfish, cowardly, and cruel to you. " I said, tearing up.
" Ian, ever since I looked at you. I know... you have reason to stay away. Yet, I don't blame you. I never did .
Because I love you more than you knew past and now. I was wishing that I had repeated that before I died.
Those 2 years we been together. I never felt happier and the day we met. I know we are fated to each other. Nice or cruel destiny it will all lead me back to you, to us , and this. Don't you think?" She asked calmly.
There, I embraced her tightly and caught my breath to wish this wasn't a dream or an illusion anymore. Yet, she pat and comforted me.
"Errien... Thank you... I'm really grateful... I met you, and I will make it up to you... I promise." I said
"Pfft... no need you already did... I was watching over you, remember.
Helping in need not giving up to seek the truth just to bring justice to everyone.
My Ian... you we're loved and looked up to because you strive to find the truth behind despite the lurking danger and evil deeds to drag you down.
Your perseverance made you a rightful person. So, please don't be hard in yourself. I know you did your very best to give a hand for those who needed it. I'm glad that's my Ian." She said, smiling.
"I'm really glad we're here together again, forever. i will always be with you." I said, hugging her.
"Hmm... let's go now, Ian!" She said, holding my hand
With a sunshine like smile on her face that lightened up my life like before. As we walk towards the unknown ,but together.
