The paramedics arrived and Y/n was quickly taken to HopeRise Medicare. The surgeon who had rushed to check on her told everyone that her condition was quite critical and that the patient may be diagnosed with psychogenic syncope.
Author's Note: Syncope is not much of a serious ailment but the patient who is diagnosed with this condition becomes very weak and is prone to lose consciousness very often.
Nischay after hearing the devastating news, fell down on his knees and tears streamed down his face.
N/s and N/m were comforting him being by his side and all had tears in their eyes, praying for Y/n to recover soon and have her back with them.
The time was both fearful and uncertain. It was not known what could happen anytime. The family could not be with Y/n at all times no matter how much they wanted to be because of being occupied with their own hectic work but Nischay was there with her.
He stopped making videos and had announced a break from social media due to some personal issues, not wanting to disclose the actual reason for his and the family's privacy.
Nischay would sit outside the room where Y/n was kept and the doctor with his nurses would come to check up on her, performing some tests and giving medications to her.
One such day, Nischay was standing outside Y/n's room with tears in his eyes when the doctor came out from the room.
Nish: Dr, meri wife kaha hai?
Dr: Condition pehle se theek hai par ab bhi critical hai. Achha, kya main aapse ek baat puch sakta hoon Mr. Malhan?
Nish: Haa puchiye kya baat hai.
Dr: Mrs. Malhan ke saath kuch toh past mein bohot bura hua hoga jiske wajah se unhe ek bohot gehra trauma pohocha hai aur abhi unki yeh condition hogayi hai.
Nischay did not say anything and fell silent.
Dr: Are you okay Mr. Malhan?
Nish (stutters): Umm...Yea...Yeah....
Dr: Well, I wish you and your family all the best. Let's hope and pray for the best.
Nish: Hmm.
~Some hours later~
Nischay dozed off to sleep feeling exhausted while having himself seated on a chair in the hospital. That is when, the doctor came and shook his shoulder waking him up.
Nish: Kya hua Dr?
Dr: Mrs. Malhan ki tabiyat pehle se kaafi serious hogayi hai all of a sudden aur unki oxygen level bhi kaafi down hogayi hai.
Nish (worriedly): Kya? Kya hua hai usse?😥
Dr: Abhi kaha nahi jaa sakta lekin aapse agar ho sake, toh aap apne aur unke family members ko bul lijiye.
Nish: Achha theek hai. Lekin please (he holds the doctor's hands with tears in his eyes): Meri Y/n ko bacha lijiye😢😭
Dr (pats his shoulder): Main apni puri koshish karunga. Aapki wife ko kuch nahi hoga.
Nish: Please Dr.
The doctor leaves assuring Nischay a little and he calls everyone to come to the hospital, his voice breaking in the middle.
Y/n's family arrived as well as his family too. Y/m and N/m went to the idol of Ganpati Bappa kept on a mandir beside the operation theatre and were praying for Y/n, tears filled in their eyes.
Meanwhile Nischay was not being able to handle himself, constant tears dripping down his face having his father, brother and father-in-law beside him, offering him solace and comfort.
N/d (patting his forehead): Y/n jaldi theek hojayegi beta. Tu tension naa le zyada.
Y/d (caressing his hair): Haa beta, meri beti bohot strong hai. I know tumhe kaisa lag raha hoga par dilaasa rakho.
Nish: Y/n kitni strong hai woh mujhe pata hai papa aur dad par mujhe darr lag raha hai. Main usse khone ka soch bhi nahi sakta. Main Y/n se ab bhi bohot pyaar karta hoon aur humesha uske saath rehna chahta hoon💔😭
N/b (hugs him): Bhabhi ko kuch nahi hua hai Nonu. Dr hai naa unke liye. Woh unhe zaroor theek kardenge. Unpe aur Krishna ji pe bharosa rakh. Hum sab yaha hi hai tere aur bhabhi ke liye. Tu akela nahi hai Nonu. Tera bhai tere saath hai.
N/s (joins in the hug): Aur teri behen bhi.
Having his family with him made Nischay feel a bit better and feel a sense of strength and hope for Y/n.
Y/m and N/m soon joined in, making him feel comforted and at ease.
~Couple of moments later~
The red lights of the operation theatre turned off and the doctor came out.
N/d: Kaisi hai humari beti Dr?
Nish: Woh theek toh hai naa?
Dr: Woh....
