After hours of navigating through the treacherous depths of the ocean, the ASDS successfully arrived in Shanghai, marking the end of their journey. Leon and Jasper were brought to a run-down apartment complex, which was believed to serve as a safe house. Shen May stopped in her tracks in front of a door and turned to address Leon and Jasper, "This is it."

Stretching up, Shen May extended her hand, receiving a slip of paper that was discreetly pushed between the door and the frame. "Secure," she said briefly, before she retrieved a knife from her boot. Jasper's eyes narrowed with suspicion at the dried blood that stained the tip of the blade.

With a swift and precise movement, Shen May severed the tape on the door. Leon and Jasper shared a glance as they realized the implications of the situation they were in. Once Shen May successfully cut through the tape, she swung it open to allow them to enter.

All of the agents funneled in and quickly began their search, ransacking the apartment for guns, ammunition, and cash. The apartment was filled with a cacophony of sounds as they frantically searched the whole place; the sound of cabinets being closed shut, drawers being opened, and items being tossed aside.

Shen May had left an hour ago with the intention of returning with the necessary supplies, leaving Jasper, Leon, and Jason alone in the apartment. Jason took a seat on a brown leather couch and carefully lit up a cigarette, taking a moment to relax before continuing with their plan. He took a long drag, savoring the taste of the cigarette as he let out a contented sigh, a puff of smoke escaping his lips.

"Alright, we made it to shore," Leon spoke as he and Jasper entered and took a seat on the couch opposite of Jason. "You wanna brief us?"

"You can start by telling us what you're really after," Jasper added with his eyes locked on Jason's, searching for a sign of dishonesty or deceit. "Must be a major op, right? Killing a sub full of people and letting those bioweapons run free."

Jason looked at them for a few moments, taking in what Jasper had just said and considering his response. Breaking the palpable silence, Leon continued, "If you're not gonna break into the facility, what are you here for?"

Finally breaking his gaze, Jason took one last drag from his cigarette before placing it back on the ashtray and turning his gaze back to Leon and Jasper. "Shen May and I are on a different mission," Jason responded. "We're looking for something else."

"What?" Leon questioned.

"Proof that will expose a conspiracy by the US Government," Jason clarified.

Leon scoffed in disbelief at Jason's words before leaning back into the couch. "Treason. Fun. We'll be sure to put that in our report."

As Jason's hand reached out for the coffee table with guns scattered across it, Jasper's heart began to race. But his expression remained calm and unyielding, ready to protect himself and Leon. But instead, Jason simply picked up a cigarette from the ashtray before extinguishing it, making him let out a sigh of relief.
