❝You have ice powers?❞ Adam asked shocked.
Taelyn turned around, laughing as she looked back at her hand. She looked at him, confused. ❝What? You've never seen a girl with ice powers before?❞

Taelyn sighed, as she waited for the call—ring, ring, ring. Biting her nails, she thought all about the worst possibilities known to man. Maybe, he gave her a fake number -- or it was all a figment of her imagination. She looked confused, she swore he was real.
She finally heard a voice. "Hey, this is Marcus, I'm unavailable now but I'll always get back to you. Give me a shout." He laughed.
She laughed, hearing his voicemail. She empties out her throat and says, "Hi, this is Taelyn. You know, the girl you talked to from outside my school?" Taelyn said shlyly. "Anyways,I wondered if you wanted to see me again." Her eyes went wide. "Not like a date or anything -- not saying that I wouldn't because..." Taelyn was spiraling and she didn't know how to stop. Finally, she took a deep breath. "Sorry," She laughed. "Just hanging out between friends. I gotta go, just give me a shout."
She groaned, throwing her phone up against the wall. "I sounded like a freak, he's never gonna want to hang out with me now." She mumbled.

The gang was getting ready for school and all she could think about was that stupid voicemail she left for Marcus. She sighs, looking down at her phone -- no calls, no text from Marcus. She slid off the counter, grabbed her Starbucks drink, and walked down to the lab.
"Okay, guys, you have been trained for all kinds of missions. But you are about to enter a soul-bruising, confidence-crushing, apocalyptic environment: high school. Adam, Bree, your glitch results are fairly stable." Donald said.
"Yes! I'm going to school!" Bree said excitedly, jumping up and down.
"I'm fairly stable!" Adam yelled, excitedly. Taelyn looked confused as she shared a glance with Adam.
"What about Chase?"
"Right." Donald nodded, looking at the results. "Chase, I am still concerned about your Commando App."
"Commando App? Put on some underpants. We're going to school." Leo said.
"What's wrong with you? Next time, I'm gonna soccer punch you right in the stomach." Taelyn threatened. Leo's eyes went wide, moving away from her.
"No, see, in the face of imminent threat, Chase's Commando App kicks in and he becomes a fearless brute I like to call Spike. It's kinda like a fight-or-flight thing, except I took out the flight part, 'cause, useless. And I replaced it with a testosterone level of like a Tasmanian devil-wolverine-shark-lion-hybrid that's mad." Donald explained.
"I'd pay lots of money for that." Taelyn smiled, getting more interested.
