❝You have ice powers?❞ Adam asked shocked.
Taelyn turned around, laughing as she looked back at her hand. She looked at him, confused. ❝What? You've never seen a girl with ice powers before?❞

Taelyn sighs, waking up to the bright sunlight. Slowly, she looked around. This was the day her life was going down into shreds. Her bionic friends weren't gonna be there anymore and it was the moment that -- she was getting used to them. She wanted them. Sadly, all the fun has to come to an end.
"Adam?"
She couldn't believe Adam was in her room -- she wasn't surprised since he woke her up for that party yesterday but she never thought he'd remember the room. She softly smiled, as she watched the doop drool.
He turned around and saw her gently smile. "You're up early. What's the occasion?" He groaned, stretching.
She shrugged. "We'll since the gym almost caught on fire yesterday Principal Perry is having me take my test today, and I wanted to make sure I was up early enough so I could say my goodbyes."
"It's not gonna be goodbyes forever. We still have a couple of hours." Adam said trying to make her feel better. "I'll use a burner phone so we can talk every day."
"If you're not dead by then. I saw the picture, Adam." She sighs. "It's like a winter wonderland out there, there's no guarantee any of you will survive. Even if you make it through there's still avalanches that could kill you."
"Really?" Adam asked.
Taelyn nodded. "Stitisicly, you have a 92% if you are extracted within 15 minutes and chances go down 37% after 35 minutes of burial time." Adam looked confused. "It means that the chances of death go up about 3% per minute after 15 mins of burial time."
"Oh, so we're more likely to die?" Adam asked confused.
"Most likely," Taelyn shrugged.
Adam took her hand and looked into her eyes. "I promise, we're not gonna die. Now come on, let's help the gang."
Taelyn nodded as they left the room. She wanted to believe Adam. She needed him to be right there was just too much going on in her head. All she wanted -- all she needed -- all she ever asked for was a little hope.

"What're you doing?" Leo asked.
"If Davenport is gonna ship us off to some remote facility, then the office supplies are coming with us." Chase nodded, throwing random things in a box.
"We just got our first taste of normal life. I was so close to getting a curfew which I was gonna break." Bree groaned.
"And I could've helped you have some fun around here." Taelyn groaned, sitting in the chair. "There was this cool party I was gonna take you to."
"Ugh, lucky. We would've had so much fun." Bree said.
"Ooh! But maybe when we get to wherever we're going, we'll meet a sassy lab chimp named Bobo who will take us on adventures and teach us how to love." Adam gasped, smiling.
