Carina's first day off for a year!

Thursday October 18 th 2024

** It's now the middle of the night and Carina is still rocking Nicco in her rocking chair.. she noticed that his breathing is not right.. but she brushed it off.. it's 2 h28 am ... and she's still very overwhelmed with everything, she hasn't realized that she's on MATERNITY LEAVE ! Yayyyyy ! No more work phone going on at random times... no more missing out on everything else that's happening.. Nico is about to walk really soon ! She definitely doesn't want to miss that because she was helping another woman having her baby.. even though she absolutely LOVES HER JOB ! Maybe she should focus on her clothing line.. which is really gaining popularity and she has sold a lot of clothes... who knows what she's going to decide, maybe after this year off she'll be less into helping women having their babies and more into her clothing line CozyChickByCarina ? **

Carina : shhhhhh ! It's okay baby !  Momma is here... shhhhhhhhh ! Oh I hate it when you cry and cry and can't properly tell me what's wrong...

Does your stomach hurt?

Nicco : no !
Carina: okay , your legs? Arms ? Chest ?

Nicco : no !  momma hold me !

**Maya started to wake up and she looked for her wife in her bed, and quickly realized that she wasn't in the bed.. she walked all the way to the bathroom and she turned around and saw her wife's legs slowly moving as she was rocking Nicco to sleep.. she quietly walked into their sons room **

He's not calming down huh?

Carina: no , and I don't think I know what he wants, he's got a fresh diaper on and I'm trying to breastfeed him like I usually do but he's just trying to grab my breast and ohhhhh does it hurt.... And I don't know what else to do babe!

Maya : okay, we're going to figure something. Have you tried to walk around the house? Last time he cried and cried nonstop.. right before Charlotte was born.. I had him on my bump and he was really comfortable and I walked around the house with him and he eventually calmed down.. why don't you try that?

Carina: okay , at this point I will try anything... also is that what you do all day?

Maya : yea , pretty much... I changed her diaper, multiple times a day, I feed her and she drinks milk and falls asleep and I do everything over and over again...

Carina: right... why am I asking you that! I obviously know what you do all day when you have a newborn baby at home... aye aye ! I really think he's getting sick or something... his breathing isn't right...

Maya : okay, let's not freak out.. take several deep breaths and everything will be fine... here you go , he's totally calm now....

Here's his pacifier..

Carina: ohhhh thank you I have been looking for one...

** she gives him his pacifier and he's wrapped in his baby blanket and his right hand on her chest **

Several hours later everyone is up and getting ready for school, and daycare.. grandma and grandpa are getting everyone ready for the day, Carina is still really worried about Nicco so she decided to not send him to daycare.. Mrs. Daphne understands that! She wished him well and that Carina and Maya both take it easy on themselves.. so while the kids are at school and daycare, Carina gets a lot of things done, she's got two loads done already... Maya is in the shower and has Charlotte in her bouncy swing with the bathroom door open **

Carina: hi bambino , you fell asleep on momma !

Nicco : hi momma! I hungry!
Carina: alright let's go eat breakfast!
