#47 - Halmoni

Seokjin frantically hold on to Jungkook's wrist who seems to be wanting to escape and hide. How could he? It's his grandmother! He should be together with him. 

Jin: Where you going? 

JK: I can't be greeting halmoni like this! *looking downwards*

Jin: Make it deflate quick then!

JK: Babe. This is not a balloon where it can just pop and deflate.

Jin: Then think of dead rat or something?

JK: Again it doesn't work that way. Plus with your angry cute pouty reaction, it makes it even harder. Literally.

Jin: Ugh. Then what should I do?

JK: Just chitchat with her. She may look intimidating but she's actually very fluffy. So don't worry, babe~

Jin: Hmm... where are you going to hide then?

JK: Where else? Our room. I'll try to listen, if it gets weird, I'll give you a call k. Now why are you suddenly smiling?

Seokjin eyes sparkled up at the hearing of our room. Gosh. Why is he so easy! Focus Seokjinnie! His grandmother is just outside for goodness sake!

Jin: Nothing~

JK: You're too cute, babe. Trust me she'll love you.

Jin: Kays...

Seokjin closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He fix his composure and finally opened the door, not forgetting welcoming with a smile albeit a little bit awkward.

JK GM: Aigoo~ What took you so long~

Jin: My apologies... Halmoni~ 

JK GM: Caught you! 

Jin: Huh?

JK GM: You didn't even ask me who am I! Must be Kookie already informed you, isn't he?

Jin: I-

Seokjin starts to panic, and rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

JK GM: Don't worry~ I won't eat you~ Though you're soooo cute~ 

Jin: Thank you. Please do come in, halmoni~

Jungkook's grandma graciously walks in, looking around and squinted at a particular item, smiling knowingly before settling down comfortably in the couch. 

JK GM: Thank you, darling. Now where are you going? 

Jin: Ermm... to the kitchen to make some hot drinks? Or halmoni, do you prefer cold drinks?

JK GM: Hot tea will do. Also can't help but to see the sandwich earlier on, can I have one darling?

Seokjin totally forgot of the bento set he prepared for Jungkook earlier on. He was hesitant but he eventually agreed to bring to the front...

???: HALMONI THAT'S MINE!!!

JK GM: BRAT! ARE'NT YOU GOING TO COME OUT AND GREET ME?

JK: NOT NOW!!! I'LL COME OUT AFTER SHOWER!

JK GM: THEN I'M GOING TO EAT THIS BEAUTIFUL SET!!!

JK: HALMONI~ THATS MINE~ PLUS YOU ALWAYS HAVE YOUR BREAKFAST AT 6AM! YOU'RE NOT EVEN HUNGRY!!!

JK GM: FINE I WONT EAT IT. FASTER CLEAN UP AND COME OUT!

JK: ALRIGHT~ BE NICE TO JINNIE, HALMONI!

Seokjin was stunned hearing the shouts between Jungkook and his grandmother. They were really one of a kind. Hearing that, somehow makes him less anxious.

Jin: I'm sorry, halmoni. I'll make one for you?

JK GM: Jinnie, darling. I saw the nicely tied bento so I know Kookie is here, so I'm just teasing him. Now sit here. Don't bother making anything. Kookie is right, he knew my routine very well. I always have an early breakfast so I'm actually full.

Jin: Okay, halmoni...

JK GM: You must be surprised to see me here, don't you?

Jin: Heh... Honestly, yes. We're both surprised actually.

JK GM: I'm here to attend one of our relative wedding, so I'll be staying next door tonight. And I'll be taking Kookie's room, though I know he wouldn't mind seeing him here~ *winks*

Jin: Ah-

JK GM: Hahas. Don't mind me, darling. I like to tease~

Seokjin chuckled as he sees how alike the two are. They must be very close one another, and honestly its kinda endearing. Seokjin lifted his warm water to sip a drink...

JK GM: Now let's get down to business. When's the wedding?

And Seokjin unintentionally spit out the drink, causing him to panic again. Just then, Jungkook came out and 'scolded' his grandmother for teasing Seokjin again.

JK: Halmoni~ Stop teasing Jinnie~

JK GM: I'm serious, though? When is the date?

JK: We haven't even graduate yet? 

JK GM: Says someone who has been a permanent resident here. You're literally married at this point. What's the difference? Plus I heard both of you have met each other's parents.

JK: Halmoni~ We just got into relationship~ I don't even have a job?

JK GM: What job you're talking about? You literally going to work with your dad! Jinnie, darling. I think you should find some other guy. This brat of mine is not committed at all.

JK: HALMONI!!! 

Their chaotic banter ends when grandmother had to leave for the ceremony. Seokjin had offered to send her to the location, but she refused saying she's going with Jungkook's parents.

JK GM: Jinnie, darling. I'm glad to have met you, and now I finally know why my Kookie is heads over heels for you, darling. He's been bragging all the time over the phone.

JK: Ughh!! Halmoni, I'm going to die of embarrassment at this rate!

JK GM: He's a little bit dramatic, Jinnie. Otherwise, he's a fine brat. See you two lovelies around~

While Seokjin was in his apartment recovering and recharging his social battery, Jungkook accompanied his grandmother back home. 

JK: So how? Do you like him? But before answering that Halmoni, I will still love him even if you don't. Just saying.

JK GM: Aigoo~ Our Kookie has grown up isn't he?

JK: Halmoni, I've been an adult for quite sometime already~

JK GM: You'll always be my baby, no matter how old you are~

JK: Aish. What's this muscle for then, if you keep calling me baby.

JK GM: So what does our Jinnie calls you then?

JK: He calls me, Honeybee~ Isn't he sweet, halmoni?

JK GM: Aigoo. What's all that muscle for then? 

JK: Halmoni~ I guess you like Jinnie? You mentioned our Jinnie~

JK GM: I really like him. He is so polite and he makes me feel comfortable. You found a good one, Kookie. So when is he leaving?

JK: Hmm... Next week, halmoni.

JK GM: I see... You're going to be fine.

JK: I hope so?

JK GM: I'll missed both of you.

JK: I'll miss you too, halmoni. I'm sure Jinnie, likes you too.

JK GM: Of course he likes me. Who doesn't like me? Anyway, get that invitation done asap. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of lines waiting for our Jinnie~ Plus I want a great grandkid soon *winks*

JK: Halmoni!!!
