Chapter 1

Heatwave and Quickshadow are a happily married couple. They lived in Houston Texas and lived a very normal and happy life there. They were now expecting their first baby and they couldn't be happier.

Heatwave is a firefighter. He has helped save many lives. He has the respect of his fellow firefighters and first responders. Heatwave is very brave and strong. Heatwave has an older sister named Hightemp and a brother in law named Blazebreak and they have three children who are triplets, they all live in Atlanta, Georgia. Heatwave also had an older brother name Firebreak, and a sister in law named Burnlight, and they had two children one five and the other three, they live in Denver, Colorado. Heatwave also his parents who live in Portland Maine. Heatwave moved to Houston Texas shortly after finishing his training as a firefighter. He began working as a firefighter in Houston and he met Quickshadow who also just moved to Houston. The two of them become fast friends who started to date and they fell in love. They dated for a year and a half before getting married. Heatwave loves his wife very much. They just moved into a new house.

Quickshadow is a pediatric cardiologist who works at Texas Children's hospital. She is very good at her job. She works well with her fellow doctors and nurses. She loves helping children with their heart problems she finds it to be very rewarding. She knew about all the different heart problems that could affect a child, from the very common, to the most complex, to the very rare, and most serious. She has helped many of them with all kinds of heart problems. She works in Legacy tower with the inpatients. Quickshadow is very kind and caring. She has a twin brother who lives in Hollywood, California, he is a famous actor and a very generous guy. She has an older sister name Eloise and a brother in law name Darren and they have two children one six and the other four who live in Bristol England. Her parents live in London England. Quickshadow moved to Houston, Texas from London England once she finished her school work to become a pediatric cardiologist. She met Heatwave and the two of them became fast friends and they fell in love. They dated a year and half before getting married. Quickshadow loves Heatwave very much. They also got a house together.

It has been about two years since they got married. They now have a house of their own. Things were going very well for them. They had been planning on having children. They didn't know how many children they would have, but they would be happy with at least one. Now Heatwave and Quickshadow were expecting their first child. "We are going to be having a baby," Quickshadow said when she got the call from her doctor about the results of her test.

"This is wonderful," Heatwave said kissing her.

Heatwave and Quickshadow were very happy about this, and looking forward to it. They told their friends and family members about it. They even told their co workers about it too. They were all so happy for them.

"It is wonderful you are going to be a mother," Ratchet said. Ratchet was one of her coworkers. Ratchet works as a surgeon in Texas children's hospital. He normally preform general surgeries for the most routine non life threatening like removing tonsils. To removing a child's appendix which can be life threatening if not done fast. He is a great doctor and good friend. She knew he was very happy not just about her having her first baby, but his sister in law was about to have her first baby so he was going to be an uncle. So she was happy for him too.

Quickshadow was going to all of her doctor's appointments. She was also taking her prenatal vitamins too, she wanted to make sure that she did so. Because it was good for her and the baby. She was really looking forward to the birth of her baby. Her tummy was beginning to grow a little bit. Both Heatwave and Quickshadow were getting more excited as time was going on. They knew their baby was going to be born very soon. They were really looking forward to the birth of their baby. They had a feeling their baby was going to grow up to be a very strong and brave person who would make a big difference in the world.
