14 days later, exactly two weeks after the Final Selection, a man showed up on the doorstep of Mieko's home.

"My name is Uyeda, I have forged the sword for Mieko Tomoe." He had a warding mask over his face.

Mieko bowed out of respect. "I'm Mieko Tomoe, would you like to come inside?"

Uyeda nodded his head as he took off his rather large hat. Stepping aside, Mieko let the man in, and he sat down on the wooden floorboards, unveiling the giveaway of the sword.

"This is a very lovely home." Uyeda says, looking around as he takes away the binding.

Mieko also looks around. "Yes, it is...Wait...Excuse me, but how did you know where I lived?"

Uyeda sits up slightly, and points just behind Mieko. Following his finger, Mieko turns around and finds that a familiar crow is standing by the door. It's little head glances up at Mieko and it chirps. Mieko grinned and waved at her crow before welcoming it inside.

Uyeda had gotten to the box that Mieko's sword was lying in. Taking a seat across from him, she listened to Uyeda explained how Nichirin Swords worked.

"Nichirin Swords are also called 'Colour Changing Swords', as they change the base of their colour based on it's user. With your red eyes and bright hair, I think there's a good chance your sword will turn red! Usually that's a cause for celebration!" Uyeda explained, his fingers doing jazz hands at the thought.

Glancing down at the sword in her hand, it was a very basic format. A good handle and a sturdy weight.
Flipping her grip around, Mieko drew the sword and held it above her face, in a thin line that made it appear it wasn't even there. She would never understand how something so thin could give such a devastating blow.

Twirling so that she could see the bigger part of the sword, she watched with raised eyebrows as the sword started to shift colours on the bottom. From what was once a silver gleam, now turned into a pure white colour -just like her hair.

"Woah..." Mieko chuckled.

"White?! What Breathing Technique do you use?!" Uyeda suddenly yelled, very muchly thinking that the sword was going to turn red.

"Uh, Flame?" Mieko blinked before glancing back at her sword. "What does white mean? Is it bad?"

Uyeda stuck a hand to his forehead. "No, a white blade is just usually found in the Mist Breathing style..."

Mist Breathing and Flame breathing were two very different things. Looking back to her sword, Mieko flipped it around a few more times.
"Don't worry, white symbolized a calm interior, see it as good luck."

It felt like Uyeda was just saying that. And besides, if this meant a calm interior, then what the hell was wrong with her exterior? It was like Yin and Yang over here, people.

Suddenly, her crow start to talk.

Literally.

"Mieko Tomoe! Here are your orders!" It's beak was moving and everything. "Make your way to a town southeast! Southeast!"

And so, Southeast is where Mieko went. She left Jiheko's home in a more clean way, and she set off with her crow by her side. From the report of the 'mission' she was sent on, apparently a three horned man was attacking small children.

Mieko found, that with her fast paced walking, she could get places quicker -physic, right?
Anyway, Mieko walked, half jogging towards the town. It was still sunny outside, so no demons could come out to play yet, which was the good thing. Still, she'd like to get to the village before sunset just to have a quick look around.
