It had been too long a time since Mieko had reentered the Tsuzumi Mansion. There had been 4 different demons that Mieko had finished off, but there had been no interaction with Inosuke.
Ever since she lost him in that room, she hadn't seen him since.

And despite only knowing him for a few hours, it didn't stop the need to see him alive. Even though Mieko thought him as a mannerless idiot, he was still a person, and no matter what, no person deserved a painful death...okay, maybe some people, but the idea still stands.

Mieko was tired though, she felt like she had been walking for hours, despite all the sounds of the tsuzumi drums beating like hell and then being quiet for hours. After a few experiments, Mieko found out that the hallways of the house do not move or change, rather just the rooms.

So, Mieko stayed in the hallways, encountering four different demons and killing all of them. And while Mieko didn't really want to encounter another demon, she knew damn well that there was a good number of more demons hanging around. And yet, it did not deteriorate her from what she wanted as her end goal -and that was to get herself and Inosuke out of this mess, asap.

But following how ever many hours it's been since she's been in this mansion, she had barely heard a sound. That was until, a very loud scream sounded, echoing along the walls. It sounded frightful, so Mieko went into a full on sprint to where ever she believed she heard the screams came from.

Sometime thereafter, Mieko thought she heard the sound of a thunderclap, but that was just strange. Huffing it through since she no longer could hear anymore sound, Mieko sucked it up and started to run through the rooms, despite them changing from time to time.

She was actually getting pretty used to it until-
Until she opened a door at the same time that the drum went to the tsuzumi beat and the room turned on it's side, and Mieko started to slip through the doors again and again.

This time, it went on for a while, but seeing as she had no concept of where anything was in the mansion, and in the time she had been there, she had not ever seen the exit, she stayed falling. If she fell through each of the rooms, that meant that least one of them had to lead to the balcony, and then the outside.
She could start over from there.

...But she kept falling...and she kept getting faster and faster.
Her katana started to shake in her hand as her haori blew behind her wildly.

But then! In a final hope, the door that opened below her was bright, blinding her from the dark rooms she had gotten used to. It was sunny outside when Mieko shot through the balcony -and the aburpt change in gravity occured.

Shrieking as a tree came in too close to contact, Mieko used her katana and breathing style to deflect it, pushing her towards the ground instead.
She hit the ground with a loud thud and a gasp for air as she landed right on her ribs -again. Something was 100% broken now.

"AH! A girl?!" There was a voice Mieko didn't recongise.

Groaning as she looked over her head, one eye closed from the sun, Mieko looked to quite the scene. There was a group of people out here, most of them crowding around a brown box that was rather suspico-

"Inosuke!" Mieko almost leapt to life when she saw the boar-hat wearing boy -only without the boar hat now.
He had a massive lump on his head that was bleeding, but he looked a little different in the sunlight than the moonlight. "You're alive!"

"Of course, I'm alive, I never died." Inosuke shrugged, as if it was obvious.

"I-..." Mieko opened her mouth but closed it very quickly as she gave him a look. After a moment, she turned over her shoulder, looking to what was before her.
