I make my way to the Pit after my 'talk' with Amar. I walk into the pit and walk to the table that I notice the Abnegation guy was sitting at. The seat next to him has a plate of food in front of it. I stand behind the seat and tap his shoulder and he turns to look at me.
"Is this seat taken?" ask.
"I made the plate for you. I didn't know how long you would be talking to the um... leader guy." He says quietly.
"Well, thanks. I guess." I take the seat. "Hey, um one question. What exactly is your name?"
"Um. Tobias." He mutters.
"Do you not want anyone else know?"
"Not really." He says and I begin to eat. After we eat, Amar stands between the tables and all conversation stops.
"Alright, initiates! Let's go." We all get up and follow him.  He walks us into a hallway. "Alright. everyone sit." We all sit in the chairs that line the hallway.  The hallway is dimly lit. The lights give off a greenish purple glow. unlike the ones in the hallway leading to the pit which are red. "Okay, everyone stay here and I will be right back." He goes threw the door at the end of the hallway.
"Mkay. So this initiation should be easy. We sit in a hallway. Fun." I say after about a half an hour in the hallway. The initiates all laugh a little. I decide to make a little conversation. I look at the dauntless born initiates. "So whats your names?"
"I'm Nathan."  a boy with sandy colored hair says. He has a little bit of muscle but not as many as some of the others. He's kinda cute but not like the hot kinda cute. He's more like that little brother kind of cute.
"My names Kalea." The girl beside Nathan says. She has bright red hair. It is obviously died red so it isn't natural. She gives me a glare. "Your name is Rayne right?"
"Yep. That's me." I nod
"Well, you're an idiot. You always smart mouth Amar. Do you not realize how dumb that is?" She keeps glaring and rolling her eyes and raises her eye brows.
"Well, I really don't see how what I do is any of your business. What I do is my business. So why do you care?" I accidentally snap at her. Way to go, Rayne! Making enemies on the first day. Wow!
The door opens and Amar comes out. "Alright. Here's what we are going to do. This is different from the way we usually do things. Usually we do this part during the second stage of initiation but this year we are going to do it first. Each of you is going to face your fears. You will go into a simulation that will make you see your fears one at a time and you will have to face them to pass them or you have to calm your heart rate and the system will move you on to the next fear. So lets get started. Kalea, your first." Kalea stands and looks at me
"You are dead. I am going to hurt you so bad that you will wish you never left your pretty little apple farm, smart ass." She keeps glaring at me and walks into the room, closing the door behind her. Everyone looks at me.
"Hey don't worry, she's more bark than bite. She has bite, hell all Dauntless do, but her bark is a lot more than anything she could do to you. She might try to lay a few punches but other than that your all good." One of the Dauntless borns tell me.
"I'm not scared. She is just a stupid bitch. Anyway, what was your name?" I ask him.
"Oh sorry, my name is Zander." He reaches across the hallway to shake my hand. I oblige and shake his hand nicely.  The guy next to him reaches out and shakes my hand too.
"My name's Adam. Nice to meet you." He says showing a smile that I swear is to die for!
Do you really have to flirt with every one?" Zander asks him.
"I'm not flirting." He smiles another killer smile, "I'm just being nice."
"Yeah, Whatever." Zander rolls his eyes. Amar opens the door and motions toward Tobias. he gets up and goes into the door behind Amar closing the door again behind them. Adam gets up and moves over beside me where Tobias was sitting.
"So you are  from Amity?" He asks me, the smile never leaving his face.
"Is it not obvious by what Kalea said to me?"
"Well yeah. But I wanted to hear it from you instead of a stuck up bitch."
"How do you know that I'm not a stuck up bitch? You don't even know me." I smart off.
"You don't look like a stuck up bitch." He raises his eyes and laughs a little as he speaks. I roll my eyes and look away. Guys are so annoying when they flirt. Ugh!  He keeps looking at me so I turn toward him.
"You like what you see, Mr. Flirt?" I give him a sassy disapproving look. He shakes his head as he response.
"Maybe I do. So what?" Just then Amar opens the door.
"Rayne, lets go." He says and turns around.
"About fucking time." I mutter under my breath. I walk in the room behind Amar and close the door.
"Alright, sit in the chair so I can inject you." He says without looking over his shoulder, messing with whatever was on the table in front of him.
"An injection? Can't you just give me some of that stuff I drank at the aptitude test thing?"
"Yes, an injection. And, no, I can't give you the drinkable serum. It doesn't work the same as the injection. Not as fast and the aptitude test serum doesn't show you your fears. Anyway, hurry up and sit down so we can start." I sit down and he holds up a syringe and needle. I move my hair so that he can inject it in my neck. He pushes the needle in the side of my neck and pushes down the plunger."Okay, Rayne. The serum will take affect in ten seconds." 10,9,8,7,6. Well, now I get to see my fears.  5,4,3,2,1. Here we go.
