Indie's POV:
We pulled into the car park of Drake Circus and searched for a parking space. After about 5 minutes of cruising up and down each row, we finally found a space. I put my sunglasses in my bag and climbed out of the car. Tom climbed out of the other side and locked the car, before we made our way into the huge building.
'So what do you want to do? Shop then get something to eat?' Tom asked as he was taking off his Ray Bans.
'Yeah, you'll have to show me where everything is though,' I replied, taking in my surroundings. I rarely shopped in big shopping centres when I was back in London, the high street and designer shops were more my thing.
'Don't worry, I'm not leaving you,' He said whilst looking at his phone. 'It would funny if I did, but I'm not going to,' He looked up and started laughing.
I pouted in return. 'You wouldn't dream of ditching me,' I winked at him. I'd only known Tom a matter of hours but it seemed like we'd none each other for years. We could make jokes about each other and neither of us would be offended.
'You're probably right, you're too amazing to ditch,' Tom said, quite confidently. He came across as confident but not cocky.
I started to laugh. 'I know I am,' I smiled at him cheekily. The day had only just started but I already knew it was going to get even better.
'So where do you want to start? Marks and Spencer? John Lewis?' Tom started to read a list of shops off a sign.
'I don't mind, you choose,'
'Well then, I think we should start at John Lewis because they have a wonderful range of bedroom furniture,' Tom began in a professional sounding voice, trying not to laugh.
Tears started to run down my face because I was laughing so much. 'Okay, lead the way Mr Daley,' I replied, copying his tone of voice. Tom started to walk to the other end of the shopping centre so I just followed. The shopping centre was busy, so walking from one shop to another was like walking through a jungle.
We spent hours walking around different shops and telling each other more about ourselves, before going to Starbucks for a coffee. We arrived at the coffee shop to find it packed with people. A look of panic took over Tom's face.
'Want me to go grab the coffees and we can sit somewhere else?' I suggested, seeing the crowd of people inside the shop. I was used to doing things like this for Owen so I wasn't bothered.
'Are you sure? I feel really bad,' Tom said, putting his hand out for me to give him my shopping bags.
'Yeah, it's fine. You'd be stuck in there forever otherwise,' I giggled. If Tom was anything like Owen, people would want pictures and autographs, you'd be there forever. I got my purse out of my satchel and walked into Starbucks, leaving Tom sat on a bench with all my shopping bags, hidden behind a tree.
I walked into the shop quietly, trying not to draw attention to myself. The shop was packed, people stood in groups talking, others stood at the counter waiting for their orders. I joined the back of the queue and got out my phone. I checked my twitter as I got closer and closer to the counter.
'Can I take your order please?' The woman behind the counter asked, struggling to catch her breath.
'Yeah, can I have skinny flavoured latte and a cappuccino to take out please,' I glanced back down at my phone when I heard two young girls shout. I couldn't hear what they were saying so I turned round.
'There she is, that's Tom Daley's girlfriend!' They yelled in unison. One was taking pictures of me with her phone whilst the other was running towards me. Why would they think I'm Tom's girlfriend? Have they been following us around the shopping centre all day? I turned to face the counter, hoping our coffees would be ready so I could make a run for it.
'Excuse me, how much longer are they going to be?' I said, panic forming in my voice. I was used to the whole 'oh my god, your Owen Farrell's sister' but being stalked was on a whole new level.
'Hey, you're Tom's girlfriend right?' A small-ish blonde girl asked. Maybe she'll leave me alone if I ignore her. 'Hello? I'm talking to you!' The blonde girl raised her voice a bit. I continued to ignore her, hoping she'd get the message and leave me alone.
'Your coffees Miss,' I gave the woman the money and picked up the coffees. I turned round to find both of the girls stood infront of me.
'Please tell us where Tom is?' The blonde girl asked, she was the more confident out of the two girls; her friend just stood there nodding.
Maybe if I act like I don't know who Tom is, they might leave. 'Tom? Who's Tom?' I asked, looking puzzled. I wasn't great at acting but it was worth a shot.
'Tom Daley, you've been walking around with him all day,' The friend of the blonde girl spoke up. She was taller than the blonde one, but a lot less confident.
'No I haven't, you must have the wrong person,' I carried on with my little act. I looked at my watch, 1:45. Tom was meant to be moving his stuff out at 2:30. 'Girls, it wasn't me with Tom Daley and if you don't mind, I've got to go, bye,' I quickly headed for the door. Maybe my acting skills were better than what I thought. I waited outside the door for a few minutes, just in case the two girls followed me. I spotted Tom's head in between the trees he was sat behind. I couldn't help but laugh. The coast was clear so I wondered over to Tom.
'What took you so long?' He said whilst taking his coffee from my hand.
'I think I met what some people call a fangirl,' I laughed before taking a sip off my coffee.
'After you already?' Tom said, looking up at me. I didn't see the point in sitting down if we were leaving in a bit.
'Yep, good job I'm a good actress,' I said, smiling cheekily at him.
'You? Act? Really?' Tom joked.
'I'm pretty good actually,' I picked my shopping bags up off the floor. 'You do know it's 1:50 don't you?'
'I do now, we'd better go,' Tom gathered his shopping bags off the floor and we made our way to the car park. We got in Tom's mini and drove out of the car park. 'It's going to take me 20 minutes to get home and I only need to grab a few things from my mum's house so do you want to come with me?' Tom looked over at me. I couldn't see his eyes because of his Ray Bans but his smile got me, I couldn't say no to that adorable face.
'Sure, why not?' I was going to meet Tom's mum at some point so why not make it now. I wound down the window as it was really warm, as Tom sped down the road. We pulled up at his mum's house and got out of the car. Tom led me into the house and introduced me to his mum and two brothers. We the went upstairs into Tom's room to collect his stuff. I sat on Tom's bed whilst he went to get something from the bedroom next door. I glanced round his room, it was really tidy for a boy Tom's age, well most of his stuff was packed but still. I noticed some medals hanging from above his dresser next to a picture of Tom and a man, I'm guessing it's his dad. I got up and walked over to them just as Tom walked into the room. 'Is this your dad?' I asked him.
'Erm, yeah,' Tom replied quietly, he seemed a lot quieter than usual. 'He died last year from a brain tumour,' I could see tears form in Tom's eyes. My heart melted.
'Oh Tom, I'm so sorry,' I walked over to him and engulfed him in a hug, I started crying myself. I could feel Tom's tears drop onto my bare skin.
'You weren't to know,' Tom raised his head from my shoulder and he started to smile. 'He would have loved you,' Tom wiped the tears from my face. I smiled back, that meant a lot.
We sat on Tom's bed and spoke about Rob for about 20 minutes before we collected the rest of Tom's medals and pictures and went downstairs. Debbie offered us an ice lolly each, Tom chose Fabs before we returned to Tom's car and drove to our new houses.
A/N - Sorry this took me so long to write but I've been really busy.
Sorry for any mistakes.
I know some people think it's wrong to involve Rob, I hope I haven't offended anyone.
