*Friday*
Indie's POV:
'There's plenty of food in the fridge and I've left the front door key on the sideboard in the lounge,' Owen sounded like he was reading out a mental list, I swear he forgets I'm old enough to look after myself. 'Right, we're going now and we'll be back late Sunday night,' Owen smiled at me. This was a rare thing for Owen, he usually didn't show me any emotion so I could tell he wasn't happy with leaving me by myself. I'll be the first to admit Owen is annoying but I couldn't ask for a better brother, he cared about but just doesn't always show it.
'Owen, I'm going to be fine. Stop worrying,' I placed my hand on Owen's back and shoved him towards the front door. Maddy was touching up her make up in the bathroom whilst Owen said goodbye to me. I could hear the sound of heels hitting the floor as Maddy walked down the hall way. She stopped at the door and waited for Owen. We all said our final goodbyes before Owen and Maddy made their way to Owen's car. I stood at the door and waved until the car disappeared from sight. I turned to walk back inside when Tom's house caught my eye. I couldn't help but think about him. We've not spoken since Wednesday but he's been busy with training and I've been busy helping Owen sort the house out. The whole surprise thing that Tom had been talking about had been stuck in my head and I was still none the wiser of what it could be.
I continued to walk back into the house, now Owen was gone I could do anything I wanted. I walked into the lounge and switched on the TV. I flicked through the channels stopping on 4Music. Icona Pop, I Love It was playing so I switched the TV up to almost full volume and went into the kitchen to get a drink. I'd been home alone, what, 15 minutes and I was already bored. Living alone must be so boring. I wandered back into the lounge just as Avicii, Wake Me Up came on. I turned the TV even more before singing the lyrics at the top of my lungs and braking out into a dance routine. At least you could do this whilst living by yourself. I continued to sing and dance like I was in a music video when I noticed a person's face appear at the front window. I stopped, turned down the TV and hurried to the front door.
'10 out of 10 for the singing, I'm going to give it a 8 for the dancing,' Tom stood in the doorway laughing. He'd clearly seen me singing and dancing, oh my god. I didn't know how to reply so I just stood there in silence before bursting out into laughter.
'I don't even know what to say,' I shrugged my shoulders, I could feel myself blushing. This was getting worse and worse. I decided to change the subject. 'So, how come you're here? I thought you were training?'
'Well that wasn't 100% true,' Tom did his usual cheesy grin. I felt even more confused than I was earlier. Why did he feel like he needed to lie to me? Or was it something to do with the surprise?
'So if you weren't training, what were you doing?' I felt intrigued by Tom's mysteriousness.
Tom looked at the floor and kicked the stones. 'Erm, I can't tell you right now,' He lifted up his head and looked straight into my eyes. 'That's why I'm here, do you want to come over to mine tonight? I've got a new hot tub and I was wondering if you, erm, wanted to go in it before Sarah, Dan and Jack move in?' Tom had a sense of nervousness in his voice, it melted my heart.
'That would be great,' I smiled back at him. I felt nervous again and butterflies formed in my stomach. I'd never felt anything like this before, did this mean I liked him or was it just normal nervous? Who am I kidding, I knew I liked him but I didn't want to make it too obvious. Our friendship meant a lot to me, well he is the only person I know here, so I can't risk loosing it.
We discussed what time I should go over and talked about normal things before Tom got a phone call saying he needed to go to meeting. We said goodbye, hugging each other tightly, he smelt amazing; lynx with a small hint of chlorine, it was like his own personal scent, no one else smelt like him. Once Tom had left I ran upstairs and thought about what I could wear. I picked my phone up off the side to ring Ali, then I remember, we weren't friends anymore. I wasn't even sure that she knew I had moved out of London. I needed to fix things with her but now wasn't the time.
I rummaged through my draws looking for a bikini or swimsuit that would be decent for tonight. I didn't want to come across as a slut. I tried on multiple bikinis before deciding on a plain black one. I also chose an outfit for going in: denim shorts and baggy tee. I also decided to wear my Jack Wills flip flops as I knew they'd be easier to wear after getting out of the hot tub rather than Converse.
I spent the rest of the day watching TV, going on twitter and generally not doing a lot. Tom and I arranged to meet at 7 o'clock so I thought 6 would be a good time to get changed. I took a quick shower before changing into my outfit. I quickly dried my hair and put it into a messy bun as I didn't have time to straighten. I grabbed my phone and said goodbye to Lola then made my way out of the front door. My stomach was doing flips, I felt so nervous. The thought of finding out what the surprise was excited me but also made me feel scared. Then I remembered, Tom is going to see me practically half naked, oh my god. Was this a date? He must half thought this through, surely? I walked towards Tom's house trying to control my breathing. I knocked on his front door and waited him to answer. I stood for a few minutes when I heard a voice from the back garden. 'Come through the gate!' I followed the orders of the voice and went through the back gate. At first I couldn't see Tom then I noticed movement at the bottom of the garden. He was hidden in a kind of secret garden. I followed the path towards Tom. Nothing was going to prepare me for what I was just about to see.
