I was getting ready for our family dinner, I wore a black leather jacket and ripped jeans with open hair and a bit of makeup. After getting ready I came downstairs where everyone was waiting for me.

" What are you wearing" Anika asked me being all surprise. "C L O T H E S", "don't you know sis", I said with a bit of sarcasm. "But you don't wear these kind of clothes and you're even wearing makeup" she asked... " From now on I'll do whatever I didn't used to do" I said with a smirk..."Let's go we don't have time for this, we're already late" my father said and then we left.

At Grandpa's Home

"Hello father, hello mother"... my parents greeted them."hello grandpa and grandma, I missed you both so much" my sister said with her fake sweet voice. " we missed you too dear" my grandma said with genuine smile. "Hello grandpa and grandma how have you been" at last I also greeted them..." O my god Chhaya come inside darling you have changed so much, for a moment I didn't recognised you, you're looking beautiful " my grandma welcomed me with praise and I can feel my sister burning with jealousy.

Chhaya's POV

In past I was used to be a introvert, I didn't talked with anyone I bearly met my grandparents. Even I met with uncle James and Kevin twice only in my previous life, but never talked with them I was too scared, there aura is too dark that I even feared to sit in the same room as them. But now I intend to change that I was not the old me, when we came to living room I saw my uncle and cousin waiting for us.

When my father and uncle James looked at each other well glared each other to be specific there was a tention in air which can cut by a knife. Which my grandma noticed "how about we all have lunch first" my grandma said... She is a sweetheart. Despite Uncle James being the stepson, my grandmother never discriminated between him and my father, she loved uncle James as her own son and he also loves my grandma as his own mother and here my own biological parents treated me like a adopted child.

At the dining table my uncle made a announcement which made my father chocked on his food." Father I'm planning to shift our business permanently in India with my family. Kevin and Suzie also wants this, what do you think"... My uncle asked my grandpa. "Of course I'll be happy both my sons will be in front of my eyes, you're doing a good job" my grandpa told my uncle while praising him. Which of course my dear father couldn't digest.

"How's your studies going on kids" my grandma asked starting a conversation, "it's good grandma.. We have just completed our high school and from tomorrow we will be attending our college" my sister replied with her huge fake smile. (Even though My sister is one year older than me we both study in same grade).

"James, why don't you also enroll Kevin in the same university as Anika and Chhaya, the trustee there is my good friend, Kevin can continue his university studies there" ...my grandpa said to my uncle (Kevin is 2 years older than us), while we were about to start our university study he was already in his 3rd year. "What do you think Kevin"... My uncle asked Kevin, and he nodded his head in yes.

Anika: O wow, now everyone will be jealous of me knowing that I have such a handsome cousin (she said trying to being all cute)

Chhaya: wish he could say same about you ( I said being unconcerned and eating my food without looking at her and of course gaining all attention, they didn't expect me to open my mouth)

"Pfffff" ... I saw Kevin trying to control his laugh while he was eating his food. And even uncle James looked at me with curious eyes.

Anika: how dare you say that ( she started shouting)

Chhaya: with my mouth "I said pointing my index finger towards my mouth " ( in a mocking tone)

"Pfff! Hahaha" Kevin couldn't hold anymore and brust into laugh.

Kevin: you're a funny one Chhaya, I already like you ( he said while still laughing)

Chhaya: likewise cousin.

"Chhaya what're you doing, is this how you talk with your sister" my mother said through clenched teeth while glaring at me as she didn't want to create a scene in front of my grandparents and uncle.

"Yes Mrs Jindal this is exactly how I talk did you just realised" ...( I said being all sarcastic) ..... "You insolate kid...." Before my father can continue Kevin interrupted in between and said." How about you give me a house tour, Chhaya." I nodded my head in yes and we left from there.

Kevin: what's up with you Chhaya

Chhaya: what do you mean brother

Kevin: I mean you seems change, like a whole different person. I met you once remember a few years ago, you were a different person than, I remember you were trembling and didn't even said "hii" to us. And now look at you being a total savage.

Chhaya: well people are meant to be change Kevin. They can be there best or worst version.

Kevin: "and what's your choice", (he asked me while his back was facing balcony's railing and his arms were crossed)

Chhaya: I'm gonna be my worst version ever ( I said with a smirk on my face)

Kevin: "looking forward sis, looks like coming India was not a bad choice after all"!... his face had mischievous smile.

After some time we came back in living room where my parents was ready to leave. " Come and visit these oldies more darling " my grandma said while kissing me on my forehead... I passed her a small smile and nodded my head. " See you soon sis" Kevin said to me while waving goodbye to me.

My high school was over so was my vacation, from tomorrow a new beginning is about to start. But first I need to leave this hellhole and the keys were my Uncle and dear cousin Kevin.

Meanwhile in Chhaya's grandparents home

"What're you thinking so deeply son!" James asked Kevin while working on laptop., " Don't you think Chhaya seems change! I mean we have met her once earlier she was like a scaredy cat but now she is like a lioness who's ready to kill". Kevin replied. " Hmm you're right there" James said..... " You know what dad! I saw hatred in her eyes for her family and believe me is was not a mere anger it was pure hatred." " I often think what they have done to her which caused her to change this extent " Kevin said with a concerned voice." ...." By the way I have completed the formality, son. You can start your college from tomorrow itself with your cousin sisters". I have already brought a home and soon your mom will be coming in India.
