Chapter 2: The Resistance

Meanwhile, back in the Palace, the fire still continues to spread, Although they asked guards to bring buckets of water every time they would bring one, it'll always end up empty.

The King got furious, and ordered an inspection on every container possible, it turns out that Julia's comrades put holes in every bucket, vase, crates and everything that could hold water.

Oliver, who stood behind his father, just chuckled silently and shook his head.

"And this is why I love you, Julia." He whispered.

The King looked at his son with serious eyes.

"I'll ask you one question son, to whom does your loyalty lean to?" He asked, Oliver looked at his father with serious eyes.

"And why would you question my loyalty towards you, father?" Oliver stated, The King nodded, satisfied with his answer.

Oliver and his father walked away from the storage unit, and eyed the burning buildings, Oliver looked at his father who looked like he was shaking.

"Since the Palace is destroyed, we'll have to stay at the safe house for the time being." The King says, and Oliver nods.

Oliver walked away for a moment and walked towards the open courtyard where the execution was supposed to take place, in the background was the Palace, in flames.

He looked up at the sky and a crow flew above him, he whistled, calling pht the crow, the crow flew down towards him and landed on his left shoulder, he gave the crow a small piece of paper and gently tied it to its feet.

"Take it to her." He says, the crow nods and flew away.

One Knight walked up to him, with a raised eyebrow.

"Prince Oliver, wouldn't His Majesty be suspicious of you?" He asked. Oliver turned to face the Knight.

"George, he won't suspect a thing." He said with a smirk.

The Knight, George nods.

.

Julia and the others stayed in a cave over the past few days. She would send Oliver some letters via the crow, and they would tell each other their plans.

Julia's plan is to avenge her parents by killing the King, whereas Oliver's plan is to take over the throne, and since his father wouldn't be willing to give it up so easily, he has no other option.

In fact, there have been a few Palace workers that have always been against the current King's rule, and they have acted together on multiple occasions to try and kill the King.

They worked together to put holes in all the containers, spread gas around the palace, and waited for Julia's signal to burn it. This was just stage one of her revenge, she plans to do more... More chaos and more destruction.

Julia and her companions left the cave and went to their hideout, The Coven. Where there are former Palace servants, Knights and other workers who are against the King's Rule.

The bright light of the full moon shone through the opening of the Coven, as Julia along with her friends and brother walked in. To them, Julia was their Queen, one who will take avenge for all the dirty things the current King made them do.

To them, Oliver was their King, as he was a pathway to get close enough to the King, and do the deed.

"He should be here any minute." Julia says as she looked in front of the many people gathered in the Coven.
