Ethan walks around the house with a concerned look on his face. He has been searching for his friend for half an hour. Finally he finds him throwing up in a bush, he chuckles and walk towards him.
- Enjoying the party?
- Ughhh I'm wasted. You're gonna have to drive us home
- Yeah no problem
He looks around
- Where's Jess?
Max straighten up and look around
- I don't know man. She wasn't even supposed to come. She's so stubborn. He sigh. Can you go look for her? I'll wait in the car.
- Sure, I'll go find her.
He starts walking away.
It wasn't long before he found her in the front room. She looked upset and was crying a little. He walked over to her.
- Hey, what's wrong
She wipes her tears and look away
-Nothing
He could see that something was bothering her but decided not to press it.
-Alright, well your brother is pretty drunk so I have to give him a ride home. You coming?
She nods and follow him through the crowd.
He leads her out to his car and opens the passenger door for her. Once they were both in, he started the engine and began driving.
-So you're not gonna tell me what's wrong?
She sigh
-It's none of your business...
He glances over at her
-Come on, I'm your friend. You can talk to me. Tell me what's wrong.
She crosses her arms on her chest.
-You're Max's friend, not mine. Matter fact where is he?
He chuckles
-He's passed out on the backseat
She turns around to see her brother asleep in the back.
-What a loser
He laughs
-He's a bit of a lightweight
He puts his hand on her knee
-So you're not going to tell me what's wrong?
She stares at his hand and gently brush it off
-It's nothing, let it go
He looks at her for a second and turn his attention back on the road
-Okay I'll drop it for now but I know something is wrong. It's written all over your face.
-Then stop looking at me
-I'm sorry but it's kinda hard not to look at you...
He said honestly then quickly added
-...I mean cause you look upset, not because you look good
She turns her head
-Excuse me?
-N-not that you don't look good!
He groans and run his hand through his hair.
-Jesus, that came out all wrong. I was just saying that...that I couldn't help but look at you because you look upset.
