CHPT. 18- IN RETURN

THE NEXT DAY, TAKAMURA WAS supposed to go with Ippo and his pupil "Geromichi" or something like that, to go get his boxing license.

And he OBVIOUSLY didn't go because he was with you.

"So, what do you wanna do?" You asked as you looked up at him, walking around the town.

"I don't know. Wanna go to the mall?"

Your eyes sparkled as you heard the word mall, and you smiled. "Yeah! How much money do you have on you?"

"What."

When you both got to the mall, you dragged him to every clothes store you can find, and now, his arms were almost filled with bags.

"Takamura, I've been thinking, should I get my ears pierced?"

"And I've been thinking, can you at least carry some of YOUR bags?" You gave him a side eye and snatched 3 of the bags. "Better, princess?"

"M' not your princess." He muttered with gritted teeth, and sighed. "Sure, let's go get your ears pierced."

"Wow." He smirked at the final look of your ears, where you pierced your Daith and your Tragus. "Looks good?"

"Yeah, it makes you look good. Also," he poked at your clothed belly button. "I didn't know you had a piercing there."

"Oh, that one's old." You giggled and thought for a second. "I changed the charm not too long ago, it was a key before I changed it to a hello kitty charm."

He hummed softly, his brows raising a bit. "That little cat. She's cute."

You chuckled as you both exited the mall, and went back to the gym. You were both engaged in a conversation, and you entered the gym, Kamgoawa cleared his throat. "So, Takamura."

He froze slightly, and crossed his arms. "Oh, hey old man! I was leaving the Korakuen Hall when I saw {Y/N} in the streets, so—"

"How was your date?" He interrupted Takamura's stupid excuse, making him stand there. Takamura the suddenly ran away. "Ippo, you slick snitch!"

"Come back here, you disappointment!"

You were just standing there, too confused to laugh. Until Ippo snapped you out of your trance.

"Here, he dropped these." Ippo handed you the rest of the bags that Takamura had, and you gave him a smile.

"Thanks, I forgot he still had these.." You muttered, making him chuckle.

"You got your ears pierced?" He placed a strand of hair behind your ear and you nodded.

"They make you look really good.." He said unconsciously, and you let out a small giggle.

"I mean—They look good on you!" He shook both his hands and laughed nervously, his cheeks red.

Today was funnier than you expected. You felt like all the time you've spent here was only fun and there wasn't any problems.

Maybe if you didn't gain so much money from your other career, you would consider quitting and working here.

After all, you did feel happier when you were with them.
