Family: Mitsuka has a healthy relationship with her family. Both her mother, Zakuro-ishi (Garnet) Mitsuka, and father, Benjamin (Anderson) Smith, loves her very much and would do anything to make her happy. They truly show that by giving her their full support when she told them that she wanted to be a demon slayer. Her mom and dad would always send her large amount of money and gifts every week, but she would always give them away to anyone who needs them more than her, especially knowing that she is also being given money by the demon slayer corps as well.
She has two younger sisters, Kohaku (Amethyst) Mitsuka and Hasui (Pearl) Mitsuka, who she love and cherish a lot. Losing Hasui to a demon was hard for her since Mitsuka felt like she failed as a demon slayer for not being able to protect her. But overtime, Mitsuka learns to continue to cherish Hasui's memories by living for her.
Demon Slayer Companions: Mitsuka has a strong-minded female black crow name Redi (Lady) and a strong male brown muscle mouse name Bling Bling. She got Redi right after completing her demon slayer entrance exam (Redi actually chose her), while Bling Bling on the other hand was a gift to her from Tengen. Both Redi and Bling Bling loves Mitsuka, they see her as their older sister. They would do anything to help her out and protect her during the missions. Due to their close relationship, Redi and Bling Bling both get alone well. There will be times where Radi is seem carrying Bling Bling on her back since it's quicker for Bling Bling to travel that way.
The Gemstones Pillar Estate: Her estate is an important place to her since that's where she can just relax and recharge from every missions. Despite being rich, Mitsuka's estate is just a small Europe-Japanese style wooden home with a huge flower garden and pound in the back. A place where her dogs, Ki Ki and Mi Mi, can run around freely and swim when they want.
When Renguko was alive, he would stop by once in a while to give her new flowers seeds to plant since he thought she might like them. Every time anyone stops by, they alway compliment her flower garden since it's always so colours and smells so lovely. Even Sanemi was taken back by how pretty it is when he first saw it despite not being able to see its colours.
Mitsuka always let everyone know that they can hangout in her garden anytime. She never leaves her garden door locked because she knows that Kanao, Shinobu, Mitsuri and Obanai would pass by since it's on their way home. One time, she caught Muichiro alone in her garden looking at the blue flowers smiling. She loves seeing them just relaxing in the garden. It makes her heart warm to see the hashiras just enjoying life as it is. Whenever they stop by and she is home, she would feed them, never letting them go home hungry.
Gemstones Breathing: Gemstones Breathing is a breathing style that originated from Stone Breathing. This breathing style requires the users to concentrate on the heavy elements within the gemstones themselves and the complexity of each gemstones that came from their respective places. To be both 'grounded and light' when wielding the blade.
Mitsuka studies how each gemstones carefully and test them well to see which gemstones would best affect the demons in what ways. Throughout her test, she managed to perfect the following breathing forms:

Short Background: Mitsuka was born into a wealthy family that specialized in jewelry making and collecting that came from the west. Her love for gemstones came from the relationship and love that her mother and father have for all kinds of gemstones. It was said that all her family members love to look at the gemstones and study them so much that their eyes started taking their shapes.
At the age of 18, Mitsuka left the rich and luxury life behide for a life of adventure on a backpacking journey with the dream of seeing every corner of Japan and more. While on her journey, she ends up meeting the Sound Hashira, who is on a mission during the time. Wanting to help out and having the time to do so, she ends up tagging alone with Tengen on his mission. Little did she know that this faithful encounter would be the one that will forever change her life.
Within the spam of 4 years, Mitsuka has shown a lot of skills and promised as a demon slayer. What made her stand out among her peers is not just her flashy appearance, but her ability to tap into the full potential of gemstones when it comes to fighting other demons with them. Mitsuka uses her family gemstones and money to craft one of the most expensive and deadly demon slayer sword yet called the Diamond Nichirin Blade.
After defeating her younger sister, who was turned into a demon, and passing her hashira exam, guided by Tengen. Mitsuka was promoted to becoming The Gemstones Hashira at the age of 22. The age in which she will witness and be apart of the all out war between the demon slayers and the demon king himself.
