Chapter 46

XENO'S POV

"The first Toman meeting of the new year will now begin!" , announced Draken as I stood at the front in my too small uniform , the top barely holding on by the buttons.

I now know Clorindes pain of a shirt barely surviving. "Hey angel , how are you keeping up?" , Mitsuya asked quietly as he stood beside me.

"I've been doing okay. Why do you ask?". "Well after I saw you that day at Taiju's house . . ." , trailed off Mitsuya as a red hue covered his cheeks. 

I just shuddered at the memory. The day Mitsuya visited Taiju to talk about the peace treaty , he accidently caught me, Inupi and Kokonoi in quite the predicament. 

"Don't worry about it. Nothing happened to me that I didn't want". "Toman and The Black Dragons faced each other in conflict. 

We originally had a peace agreement but that failed. It was caused by discord between the brothers Hakkai Shiba and Taiju Shiba. Toman clashed with The Black Dragons on Christmas claiming victory after a hard-fought battle". 

After discussing Hakkai's case and the assignment of Inui and Kokonoi to Takemichi and Chifuyu, the next and final part brought a sharp pain into my chest. "Lastly, I want to talk about something . . . involving the Christmas conflict. Tetta Kisaki!". "Yes!". "You're fired!". 

Instantly whispers spread throughout the gang. "Kisaki got fired?". "For real?". "Huh but why?". "I dunno". I knew things would go south with Kisaki's temper. "What're you saying, Mikey? You're joking, right?". "I'm not joking here. You're fired", stated Mikey with blank, soulless eyes.

"Whoa whoa whoa", interrupted Hanma who stepped up beside Kisaki. "Hold the phone, Mikey. If you fire Kisaki, then I'm out too. Which means . . . of the 450 total members of Toman, the 50 former members of Moebius, and The 300 former members of Valhalla will all leave. And Toman will shrivel to a mere 100. You sure about this?", questioned Hanma as he spread his arms out wide while I forced my expression into a blank one. 

"I don't care. Toman's gotten too big anyway". "Ah?". "Gotten too big? What the hell Mikey?! Isn't that Toman's goal?" , asked Kisaki in frustration. Mikey's goal for Toman was never expanding. He created the gang to protect our loved ones and people who couldn't protect themselves. 

"Then . . . was your instigation of the Christmas conflict . . . done to make Toman bigger?".

"Christmas conflict ? ". "Huh? Kisaki was involved too ? " . "Wasn't it just the first and second division members ? " .

"You spurred on Takemitchy and the others . . . and gave Yuzuha a knife , so she could kill Taiju. Mitsuya and Chifuyu told me everything " , Mikey stated blankly as I sucked in a breath at that. I knew about Kisaki's plan but he never told me anything about involving Yuzuha in it.

That was one of the reason's why I was so surprised to see her at the church holding a knife. "Huh? What does he mean? What's going on ?" . "What? So Kisaki was behind all of it?" . "The fuck? What a scumbag ?" .

Over to the side, I could hear Chifuyu and Takemichi whispering between themselves. For the next bit I tuned the whole world out as I tried to keep myself in check. I only came back down to earth when Mikey's final words rang out,

"We're through Kisaki. Your arbitrary decisions will screw up my dream". "M- M- MIKEEEEY ! !" , roared Kiskaki as he collapsed to the ground, while glaring at Mikey's retreating form.

"THIS MEETING IS NOW OVER ! ! ! " , finished Draken. We all went home, Kisaki leaving with Hanma to 'discuss something important' which left me with a bad feeling. I knew soon enough that I'll have to make a decision. Follow through with the contract and help Kisaki and Hanma, or keep the promise to my friends and stay faithful to Toman. 

After having a dreamless sleep, I awoke to a notification from Mikey.  'Hey darling !3 Meet us at the garage to finish Takemitchy's present ! '.

After eating a quick breakfast , I took my bike to the garage me , Mikey and Draken are using to repair a bike for Takemichi. "Hey Xeno! Get changed and come join us !" , called Draken as I entered the place.

After working for quite some time, we decided to take a quick break. "Whew! I'm beat ! ! Dont yet , Kenchin ? " , asked Mikey as I shared some food with him. "Just a little bit more. Hey , Xeno. Try the engine " .

I lifted myself up and turned the key, the bike finally roaring to life. "It started ! ! " . "Hell yeah !" . After we checked it for a few more things , it was finally ready. We decided to change and shower at my place, and I accidentally walked in on Draken showering, but who cares about that part?

Me and Mikey dragged Takemichi and Chifuyu who he was with to the garage , Draken waiting patiently for us. Let's just say Takemichi was just ecstatic about the present and kept thanking us. But we still had to teach him how to ride a motorbike. In the end he learned and we went our separate ways for the day. 

Although Mikey and Draken wanted me to hang out with them , I turned them down and silently went home. The moment I set foot home, my phone rang, displaying Kisaki's number on the screen. 

"Hello? " . "Xeno. Izana has offered us quite the deal . . .". And of course, how could I refuse him and the contract ? In the end , promises really are made to be broken. I'm sorry Baji. "I understand". I hanged up , before quietly heading to my bathroom, dialing someone else. I cleaned myself thoroughly inside and out, lying on the bed as I waited for the person.

"Xeno . . .". "Wakasa . . . make me forget".
