Nova has always hated goodbyes, ever since her family made the move to Italy to forward Emilios racing career, she knew she wouldn't see him for a while however the while ended up being a year and a half and for a 14 years old girl that was pretty hard on her. She knew being in Italy would damage the little career she had so staying in America with her grandparents was the best option for her, initially she was pretty hurt with the fact that her parents were somewhat unattached with her career, however the support from her grandparents and friends fixed that pretty quickly. After the year and half away from each other Emilio made Nova swear down they would never be that far away from each other ever again, so far that promise has stuck and they are closer than ever.
Now here stood Nova in an airport with a packed bag and an opportunity to go to the met gala, goodbyes were now in order or as Emilio calls them a see you later, as goodbye have quote on quote bad connections. Stood around her were the closest people in her life Emilio, her brother and best friend combined into one he was her rock anything that happened to her happened to him vise versa. Arthur, god was the guy an idiot but Nova loved him she wouldn't of met Charlotte if it wasn't for him. Ollie, her bear friend and platonic soulmate Ollie just got her and she got him no miss-communication they were two pees in a pod. Paul, her Paul god she hadn't known him for long but she loved him he made her feel seen, he is someone Nova has found dear in such a short amount of time it scares her but it also gives her a sense of growth able to find someone who fills a place in her heart that has been empty for years.
Emilio was the first to move to hug the girl "I am so proud of you, like seriously the met gala, you're becoming legit Novs" Emilio said to the girl as they parted ways, Emilio hadn't even let go of Nova before Arthur pushed his way to the girl and hugged her like his life depended on it. "Nova! I'm gonna miss you so much please don't forget about us when you get more famous!" Arthur whined as he latched onto the girl nearly squeezing the girl to death, it took Paul and Emilio to prize the boy off her. Ollie gave the girl a large smile and hugged her "my star friend I'm going to miss you, you know it's been too long since we last saw you don't let it be this long again" Ollie said his head hurried in her shoulder, Nova let out a laugh as she patted the boys head "of course my bear friend however I cannot promise anything it's going to be hectic soon you know with the album" Nova whispered as they released from their hug.
Stood off to the side was Paul Aron he had a hold of Novas bags as quote "a pretty lady shouldn't have to carry her own bags" he had a small smile on his face as he watched the friends embrace each other a final time in a group hug, Emilio stuck his head out of the circle and beckoned Paul over who frantically shook her his head however this group don't take no for an answer, as quick as anything Ollie had grabbed the poor boy and pulled him into the group hug, not caring about the looks they were getting. Separating from the hug Nova and Paul stood in front of each other small smiles on their faces, Emilio felt like it was time to announce his need of the toilet "I need the toilet Ollie Arthur I need your helpl" Emilio said as he pulled the two boys away from the blushing duo.
Nova looked at her them running off and let out a laugh at her brothers antics, as she turned around he noticed Paul had moved closer to her. She gave the boy a smile before he opened his arms inviting the girl into a hug, so there they stood in the arms of someone who makes them a better person individually but a happier person together, as they say two half's make a whole and that is what has happened between the two.
Their hug was warm and inviting it felt like time stopped and made a little bubble around the two full of peace and love. Novas head was buried into the boys shoulder her breathe fanning onto his neck, he pulled away slightly and Nova looked up at him and gave him a shy smile. Tucking her hair behind her ear Paul's hand lingered on her face "Are you going to miss me, minu täht?" Paul whispered to the girl who's eyes widened at the question a blush coating her cheeks. Not trusting her voice Nova nodded at the boy, who in response gave her a cheeky and cocky grin. Paul gave the girl a sad smile "i will miss you, you know no doubt about it star." Paul explained his hand still on her face.
Paul leaned in and gave Nova another long hug this one more comforting than the last one both trying to hold on as long as possible not wanting this moment to end. As the pulled away from the hug Paul pulled Nova to his chest again and placed his lips onto her forehead in a little kiss. "So you don't forget about me popstar" Paul spoke jokingly to the girl who had a love sick smile on her face as she stared up to the boy. "Just so you know I will probably miss you the most out of Emilio And Arthur" Nova spoke to the boy a cheeky smile now on her face, Paul let out a laugh which was then interrupted.
"HOW DARE YOU!" Arthur shouted gaining the attention of Nova Paul and the entire airport population, there stood Emilio, Ollie and Arthur all stood together the latter with his arms folded and a pout on his face. "I'm prettier you should miss me more" Arthur said the pout still very prominent on his face, Nova, Paul, Emilio and Ollie all shared a look before they burst into loud laughter, Arthur stood there with a stoic expression his face void of any emotion. That was until Nova pulled him into a hug "don't worry you big baby I will miss you more than Emilio" Nova said to the monégasque as she pulled away and walked over to get her bags from the floor.
"I will message you guys when we land, promise" Nova said as she looked to the board, her flight was in 1 hour and 30 minutes so she had to check in now. "Ooooo we should add Paul to the group chat!" Arthur said before Nova was about to walk away. "Probably not the best idea, Arthur" Nova replied as she took another look at the board "anyway I have to go I will miss all of you! Paul have a safe flight back home!" Nova said as she bid all the boys farewell and walked to the check in desk.
Paul stood and watched the girl walk away and sighed, he then turned to look at all the boys "well I have 6 hours what are we doing for 3" Paul said as they all walked out of the airport missing a piece of a group that made them all whole again.
