I slowly open my eyes, my vision slowly coming into focus as I wake up. The first sensations I register are the warmth and weight of strong arms wrapped around me, and the familiar scent of Vox as he sleepily pulls me closer.

Turning around in his arms, I find myself face to face with him. His eyes are still closed, his breathing steady and slow, a peaceful expression on his face. Seeing him like this, so vulnerable and relaxed, brings a small smile to my lips.

The sight of him sleeping beside me fills me with a mix of affection and guilt. I silently scold myself, the events of the previous day replaying in my mind. The memory of my actions, the weakness I allowed myself to show, fills me with guilt. But I silently promise myself that it won't happen again, that I won't let my emotions get the best of me again.

I let out a long exhale, feeling the weight of my promise settle within me as I sink deeper into his embrace. His arms tighten around me, pulling me closer, his body still warm and relaxed from sleep.

The thought of how perplexed he must have been upon seeing me in his bed brings a large grin to my lips. I can almost picture the bewildered expression he must have worn, his thoughts undoubtedly swirling with both surprise and curiosity.

I can't take my eyes off him, admiring the peaceful expression on his face as he sleeps. The steady rise and fall of his chest and the soft sound of his breathing all add to the sense of calm. It's a rare moment of vulnerability for him, and it only fuels my affection for him even more.

My phone buzzes, making me slightly groan. I look at Vox once more to make sure he's still asleep before turning around and reaching out to grab it off of the nightstand.

As I unlock my phone I immediately click on Velvette's contact to see what she texted me about. I sigh out as I realize I didn't finish editing her soundtrack yesterday. I type out a quick reply as I feel Vox stir behind me. "Sometimes I think you're more of a workaholic than I am, doll." His voice is gravelly as he speaks.

I look over my shoulder at him as I give him a sheepish smile. "Good morning." I hum out as I place my phone back on the nightstand. "Morning, doll," he replies, his words still heavy with sleep. He props himself up on one arm as his other arm pulls me tighter to him.

A small giggle escapes me as he pulls me closer before I turn back around to face him. A low chuckle rumbles through him as he pulls me even closer, our bodies pressing against each other. "Now, mind telling me why I found you in my bed last night?"

"I was looking for Vark." I tease. "I unfortunately didn't find him in here and was too tired to go back to my room." Vox lets out a huff of laughter, clearly amused by my playful excuse. "Of course, you were looking for Vark." He retorts. "And I suppose you just decided to make yourself comfortable in my bed."

"Extremely comfortable." I smile at him. "Well, well, well," he responds, his voice laced with playful sarcasm. "I guess I can't argue with that. You looked very comfortable when I found you last night."

"That I was." I nod along with his words. He grins at my agreement, clearly enjoying the banter. "I must say you make quite the view in the morning, doll." He says, his eyes roaming over me.

I place my hand over his face pushing him away slightly. "It's way too early in the morning for you to be gawking over me." I say as I begin to laugh. He feigns disappointment, pretending to pout as I push him away. "Can you blame me? I have a stunningly beautiful girlfriend in my bed, and I can't even admire her without being pushed away?"

My mind blanks on a response as I begin to laugh harder. Seeing my laughter, he grins even wider, clearly enjoying the reaction. "Oh, I see how it is... you find my attempts at charming you laughable, do you?"
