Chapter 20
Laney
2 Years Later
Its been so long since the day I left for college. Alot has happened since. Mom has gotten engaged to Owen, the secret man she has been seeing the nights she hasn't been home. Their getting married in June and I'm the maid of honor. Well of course I am...I am her only daughter. I haven't gotten around to helping much with the wedding plans since I have been so busy lately with school and working at a small book store. Anything to help pay for rent and make sure I don't starve. Basically anything you get by.
Dad still lives with the other woman and their baby. Not exactly a baby anymore since she is a toddler now. But I wouldn't know too much about that because I chose not too. Dad and I do talk from time to time mainly about things that happen in my life to make him feel like he's still involved and still my dad. Baby steps I guess.
Liam has moved to Los Angeles not too long after we graduated from high school. He moved out there to pursue a career in acting. So far he's been in a few commercials and auditioning for TV shows and movies. Fingers crossed he gets a part soon.
I got off the plane at LAX and made my way to getting my luggage. After I finally got my things I had to make my way over to getting a cab to take me to Liam's apartment in L.A. for the week until I had to go back to Phoenix where my apartment and where my job was. Liam has been begging me to come out here. Its the least I could do since we hadn't seen each other since graduation. Now that I have the time from work and school I guess I could use alittle getaway vacation. Liam had offered to pick me up at the airport but he ended up getting a last minute call for a audition. I assured him that I was going to be fine and that I would catch a cab. Plus I wouldn't want my bestfriend missing out on a opportunity.
I was on the phone with my boss and not paying much attention to where I was going when I accidentally bumped into a short man who was only taking a sip of his coffee. The guy spoke in a language that i didn't understand and I'm pretty sure the things that came out of his mouth were not so nice. After me non-stop apologizing and pretty much causing a small scene a deep voice spoke my name behind me.
"Laney?"
I turned in the direction of the deep voice and could not believe who stood in front of me. There....was those beautiful blue eyes that I fell in love with those years back. That same smile that melted every ounce of my soul. The one boy I could only name as my first love. The one I still haven't gotten over. The boy I still love. The only boy my heart belonged too. The boy I hurt. And he's here standing in front of me.
"Andy"
