Chapter 14Laney
Liam and I had recently started working at a local entertainment store. Anything to save up some extra cash since we would be graduating in a couple months and we didn't want to be empty handed when real life begins. Gotta start somewhere, right?
"What's going on with you?" Liams asked gazing from the other side of the counter.
"What are talking about?" I said not realizing I had this goofy ass look on my face the entire time we've been around each other.
"I don't know. You tell me. You've been smiling the entire time we've been here. What are you not telling me?" Liam questioned turning towards me crossing his arms.
"What? Its nothing." I answered. But who I was kidding. I was acting different for the past couple hours and I couldn't stop thinking about this past weekend.
"You know what I think...you got that just fucked smile!" Liam says loudly and little too excitedly catching the attention of a group of young people not too far from us who were just looking through some CDs.
"Shit Liam! Would you be quiet!" I shrieked.
"Holy shit! You did?! Andy?! I mean of course Andy! When?!" Liam eagerly pressed on still not lowering his voice.
"God your such a girl. But if you must know...last weekend." I said rolling my eyes. Who knew my bestfriend would be so excited about me losing my virginity. I mean it wasn't all that serious or maybe it was. I have always been stingy of my cookie jar and never found the right person to give the cookie too. Not even Harris. Even though we have came close but I always felt that he wasn't the one to give the cookie too. Which probably explains why he did what he did.
"Wow. Its about time. How was it?" Liam says.
"Amazing." I chuckled trying not to
blush too much."Protection?" Liam raises an eyebrow.
"God Liam! Shhh! But yes! I'm am on birth control!" I shoutedly whispered.
Liam smiled. "Okay just checking. Alittle too early for little Andys."I looked down at the receipts I was sorting out. "I'm falling in love with him Liam. But..." I stopped putting down the receipts and looked down at the wooden floor.
"But?" Liam asks.
"I turned in my college applications this morning and with his band I don't know if...." I trailed off with a small tears forming in my eyes.
"Hey hey.. its gonna be okay." Liam says pulling me in for a hug.
"I'm scared." I replied wiping away the small tears that had escaped from my eyes.
"It will work out." Liam reassured me wiping away a tear."I hope so." I smiled.

It was alittle past seven when Andy picked me up from work. I offered to stay and help close up but Liam reassured me that he would be okay to close the store himself.
"You two lovebirds have a good time! Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" Liam shouted from inside the store. I turned around a gave Liam the finger. Liam laughed.
"How was work?" Andy asks opening his car door for me.
"It was good." I said getting into the passenger seat. Andy went around and got into the driver side. Before we knew it we were parked off on a dirt road heavily making out in the back seat of his car. The sun had already set and it was dark out. I leaned into Andy's lips as we kissed passionately. I pulled away slowly. "I love you" I said looking into his blue eyes. Andy slowly moved a strand of my hair and moved it behind my ear. "I love you too." I looked back down at my lap holding back tears.
"I turned in my college applications this morning." I said.
"That's great!" Andy replies.
"But your moving to L.A. remember after graduation? I didn't apply to any schools in California." I said.
"I know but we can make it work. I can always come back here or wherever you decide to go to school. I will be there. And vice versa. You can always come and visit me and come on tour with me." Andy says sounding hopeful."Andy you make it sound so easy plus I can't just drop my plans to make it more convenient with yours." I replied.
"What? No. That's not what meant. I wouldn't want you to give up anything for me especially something you love to do. But I can't give up my dreams too. You know I always wanted this." Andy sat up obviously not liking where this conversation is going.
"I just don't see how it's going to work if we're going to be constantly away from each other most of the time. Most long distance relationships don't always work out and I'm scared."
Andy let's outs sigh. "I don't like where this is going."
"Look I'm sorry but at some point we have to talk about this and face whatever reality that is coming. I don't like it anymore than you do." I said.
"I don't want to talk about this anymore. Let's just.....get you home." Feeling overwhelmed and having not much to say the whole way home I just sat quietly in the passenger seat with only the sounds of vehicles passing and the music playing in the background.
We pulled up into my driveway and Andy was still very quiet. "I'll call you later." I said opening the car door and stepping out with no response from Andy. I stood back onto the driveway as Andy backed out and drove off. It felt like my heart had been stabbed so many times as I watched Andy's car disappear around the corner down the road.
I went inside and noticed Mom had a left a note on the desk by the stairs stating that she was gonna be out of town again. It was pretty obvious that my mom was seeing someone but I wasn't going to pressure her to tell me who. Plus I had more on my mind lately and each day felt like a new load. I looked in the fridge but only to close it back. I wasn't all that hungry even though I didn't really eaten anything at work besides a banana with some water and I just wanted to crawl in my bed.
I walked upstairs and took a long warm shower. The entire time I kept thinking of Andy and how upset he looked. Things were getting complicated. With me possibly going off to college and Andy pursuing his rockstar dreams. Our paths were going to be different. And those months were coming soon. I put those thoughts to the side and blow dried my hair and put it up into a messy bun. I was in the middle of brushing my teeth when I heard a tapping sound outside my bedroom window.
I'm sorry I haven't updated. I have been so busy lately plus I been on a writer's block.
