Timeskip: 2 weeks later ~

Haze just finished another 6hrs surgery, and it's the last schedule for this day. A week has passed since she started having a jam packed surgery schedule. Nakakapagod, pero sabi nga nya, she is under an oath to fulfill her duties.

Tumingin sya sa relo to see na it's already 12midnight. Haze sighed bago sumandal sa chair nya, naramdaman nya ang gutom pero mas ramdam nya ang pagod na halos ayaw na nyang gumalaw.

She hasn't been home to her unit as well. Halos 1week na sya dito sa hospital due to work sched, the last time she saw the sun was a week ago pa. So far, yung surgical lights na ang brightest light na nasilayan nya for the past few days.

Haze took a deep breath before deciding na mahiga ulit sa couch nya. Tinatamad na syang lumakad papunta sa sleeping quarters, and sanay na din naman na sya na sa sofa nya matulog. Hindi na nya maalala when she started sleeping fine with it, nasanay na lang din sya bigla.

Hindi na din nya halos nakikita ang mga kaibigan, hindi pa din nya nakakausap si Chanyeol. Narinig din naman nya na busy ang Cardiology department, kaya pinabayaan na lang muna nya.

Haze is trying to settle in na sa couch nya to get some sleep, when she heard a knock on her clinic door. As much as ayaw na nyang tumayo, she has to dahil baka mamaya ay kelangan nanaman sya.

"Yes?" Tanong ni Haze pagkabukas nya ng pinto, her eyes half closed na pinipilit nyang i-dilat.

"Doc?" Patanong na bati ni Jungwon. "Okay lang po kayo?"

Haze opened her eyes, and bahagyang iniling ang ulo nya para magising.

"Won?" Haze asked back. "May kelangan ka ba?"

"Uhm, Doc.." Nagdadalawang isip na panimula ng Jungwon. "Pinapatawag po kayo ni Doc Byun sa office nya."

"Doc Byun?" Ulit ni Haze na tinanguan naman ni Jungwon. "Bakit daw?"

"Wala pong sinabi, Doc." Sagot naman ni Jungwon. "Basta po ang sabi sakin papuntahin daw kayo sa office nya."

Napabuntong hininga na lang si Haze bago tumango. Pagkaalis ni Jungwon, Haze closed her clinic door para muna mag-ayos saglit. She combed her hair, and straightened her clothes.

Habang naglalakad papunta si Haze sa office ni Baekhyun, she is thinking kung ano ang reason nito para ipatawag sya. The past few days ay madalas silang magkasalubong sa corridor, minsan naman ay kasama si Baekhyun sa operation as a spectator.

After knocking a few times sa pintuan ng office ni Baekhyun, the door unlocked, and pumasok naman sya. Upon opening the door, dumerecho ang tingin nya sa desk where Baekhyun is leaning against.

"You asked me to come, Doc Byun?" Panimula ni Haze as she close the office door.

Umayos ng postura si Baekhyun before looking at Haze directly.

"I will be performing a surgery tomorrow." Panimula ni Baekhyun. "You are going to be my assistant for that."

Medyo nagulat naman si Haze sa sinabi ng doctor na kaharap nya. Is she dreaming? Nakatulog na ba sya kanina?

"Here is the medical chart of the patient." Baekhyun added as he grab the file from his desk. "Review it."

Baekhyun handed the file to Haze na kinuha naman agad ng dalaga.

"Surgery is at 7am."

"7am?" Ulit ni Haze.

"Yes, 7am." Baekhyun answered sternly.

Tumango na lang si Haze. Masyado na syang pagod para makipag-usap pa, mas lalo syang napagod upon learning na may 7am surgery na sya instead na magpapahinga sana.
