Chapter 10

Ni-ki just got home after an errand na inasikaso nya pagka-out from work. It's a rainy night, and traffic was a bit heavy.

He entered his home, and turned on a few lights. He then tossed his dufflebag on the floor kaya naman umingay ang mga laman nito na metal. Ibinalik na din nya sa tool closet nya ang shovel na medyo basa pa dahil sa ulan.

He was about to take a bath when his phone rang for a FaceTime group video call. He just answered the call, and place it on the table na kaharap nya.

"Oh, what?" Sagot ni Ni-ki upon seeing Jungwon, and Sunoo on the screen.

"Sungit mo nanaman, Niks." Sabi naman ni Sunoo before making face at him.

"I'm about to take a bath." Sagot naman ni Ni-ki. "Ano ba kasi yon?"

"Ginagawa nyo?" A bored Jungwon, who is already in bed asked. Ni-ki can see the printed sheets, and a few pillows surrounding his workmate.

"Kakatapos ko lang magtanim." Ni-ki answered.

"At this hour?" Sunoo asked, nakita din ni Ni-ki na naging confused ang mukha ni Jungwon.

"Is there a specific time to do gardening?" Ni-ki rolled his eyes.

"Iba din talaga mga trip mo e, no?" Jungwon says.

N-ki just shrugged. He admits na medyo iba naman talaga ang trip nya sa buhay. 

"Ano bang tinanim mo?" A curious Sunoo asked.

"Moonflower." Simpleng sagot ni Ni-ki.

After a few kwentuhan from Sunoo, and Jungwon na pinakinggan at tinanguan lang ni Ni-ki, the video call ended with the two beaming sleepy, but happy goodbyes. 

Ni-ki smiled a little when the phone screen went dark. It's good to have other people calling him at random times. It feels nice to hear na his main phone rings dahil sawa na sya sa tunog ng burner phone nya.

After taking a bath, Ni-ki grabbed his dirty uniform, and headed to his backyard. The rain finally stopped, and nagsimula na din na maging maaliwalas ang night sky.

He took the steel garbage can, and tinapon doon ang mantsadong uniform nya na puno ng putik.

He then poured gasoline, pulled out a matchbox from his pocket, and struck a match. Tinitigan pa muna nya ang flame before tossing the stick into the garbage can. It took a while bago tuluyang umapoy ang loob.

Ni-kit watched his uniform with dead eyes as it turns dark dahil sa pagkakasunog nito. The fire reflecting Ni-ki's orbs are one of the only lights you will see when you take a peak of him right now in this dark backyard na ang isa pang ilaw ay ang moonlight.

The next morning, Chanyeol, and Ji headed to the Park hangar para sunduin ang anak.

"Mommy!" Hyunjin beamed as he ran to Ji.

Kakababa lang ni Hyunjin sa private plane ng mga Park, kasama nya umuwi sa Manila ang grandparents nya, Chanyeol's parents.

Agad naman ni binuhat, at niyakap ni Ji ang anak nya. Nakahinga na sya ng maluwag now that Hyunjin is home with them.

"Ma, Dad, thank you for coming home agad." Yakap ni Chanyeol sa mga magulang nya.

"Anak, what is happening?" Nag-aalalang tanong naman ni Youngmi habang nakahawak sa isang braso ni Chanyeol.

"I'll explain in the car." Sagot ni Chanyeol.

On the way home, pinaliwanag ni Chanyeol sa mga magulang nya ang nangyari, and kung bakit pinauwi nila agad si Hyunjin.
