° Venus' POV °

"PLEASE VEE!!! YOU GOTTA JOIN!" Noah was basically on his knees, tugging on my arm with his puppy eyes expression.

I shook my head and crossed my arms, shoving his grip on my arm away, glaring down at him.

"Uh... No. I have more better things to do like work and get paid. Plus, you don't even like loud noises." I said with a little scoff.

Noah just kept whining and whining about this stupid house party he was invited to. Some college reunion, I guess. I wasn't even his classmate back then and we only met at the supermarket I work at.

It was like this: I was arranging the biscuits section but suddenly, this too tall clumsy idiot bumped his shopping cart at me which consisted of a bunch of dog related items like kibble and chew toys. He kept apologizing until he just bought me coffee to make up for it. I honestly don't even know how he bumped into me.

Totally normal way to meet an idiot.

Anyways, while Noah was still begging, and I groaned in frustration, glaring dead straight into his amber, golden-like eyes.

"You know what? Fine. You're going to tell my boss you temporarily abducted me or else." I snarled at Noah, grabbing his collar, and he grinned from ear to ear even if he looked like he was choking.

His knees were slightly elevated when I pulled him up but I rolled my eyes at this him and dropped him to the ground which made him fall down on his face of his carpeted floor of his apartment.

The time I dropped Noah, his face was flat on the floor, his ass up in the air and his dog came from the other room and began sniffing at his master whether he is dead or not. I'd be pretty happy if Noah did die but I'm not that crazy. The dog is cute.

Noah stood up, grinning widely and slightly jumped too like a little kid. I just stared at him, dead in the eye, raised my eyebrow, walking to the couch and sat down. His dog followed me and laid it's snout on my lap and I scratched it's head, making it's golden brown tail wag.

Noah sat beside me, his big grin softening.

"Thanks for doing this, Vee. I wouldn't know what or how to survive a reunion party." He said, all so soft and mushy.

I chuckled and punched his arm gently. I'm no good with touchy subjects so I don't really know how to react to certain scenarios.

"Don't mention it. I need a day off anyway." I said to Noah and he chuckled in response. He then looked at his dog's face which was on my lap. He leaned in slightly to his dog and cooed.

"Hey there buddy. You likin' Auntie Vee's company?" He said to his dog.

I smirked slightly at his dorky traits.

Believe it or not, I love that about him but not in that way. He's like that annoying little brother that follows you around everywhere even when he's older. I honestly kind of had a crush on him before but like I said, I don't see him in that way anymore, he's too naive in my opinion.

His dog barked at him, wagging his tail. He continued talking to his dog as if it understood him while I just akwardly sat there, still scratching the dog's head.
