Kelso finally grows up (but not really)

part 3 (party girl era)

You and the group arrive at the party. You all get out of the car and start walking to the house where the party is being hosted

As you are walking, u see leia attempting to flirt with jay, but as u see the uncomfortable look on Jay's face, u can tell the feeling is not being reciprocated
And u are confused bc jay is a player, and yet he seems to be not taking the chance to get with leia. You put your thoughts aside and walk into the house party

Jay and nate head straight to the table with food and drinks, and gwen and nikki hit the dance floor as Ray of light by madonna plays

You see a guy that catches your eye, and u walk up to him

Aria:
"Hey,"
Random man:
"Oh, hi there," he says flirtatiously
Aria:
"I saw u from over there, and I wanted to come say hi, and I was wondering if I could get your number?"
Random man:
"Uh yea, you can have my number. My name is josh, btw"
Aria:
"Well, nice to meet u, Josh."
Josh:
"Nice to meet you too?"
Aria:
"Oh, it's Aria." I chuckle
Josh:
"That's a nice name,"
Aria:
"Uh yea ig."
Josh:
"Wanna grab a drink."
Aria:
"Sure" (:

You two walk over to get a drink, and jay is standing by himself slowly sipping on his drink he gives u a hella side eye as u walk up with Josh he then walks up to u and Josh

Jay:
"Uh aria, who's your friend?"
Josh:
"Oh, I'm josh:
Jay:
"I wasn't asking u, joshhh," he says in a mocking tone
Aria:
"Jay, this is josh, my friend" (;
Jay:
"Friend huh well Uh he needs to leave,"
Josh:
"Dude, what's your problem, dude?"
Jay:
"Well rn my problem is u how old are u exactly jooshh"
Josh:
"Uh, im 18"
Jay:
"18, huh! Well, did u know Aria is 16?!"
Josh:
"Oh Uh, no, I did not."
Jay:
"Yea, so leave her alone perv,"
Josh:
"Yea, imma go," he walks away
Aria:
"What the hell, jay?!"
Jay:
"Hes 18, why were u with him?!"
Aria:
"Well, I didn't know he was 18. Also, why do you care so much all of a sudden
Jay:
"I'm just looking out for u damn"
Aria:
"Yea, sure u are," I say mockingly
Jay:
"What are u tryna say"
Aria:
"You're jealous,"
Jay:
"Jealous?! Of what!?"
Aria:
"That another guy was interested in me,"
Jay:
He scoffs "no I was not."
Aria:
"Don't lie, kelso. I can tell when u lie,"
Jay:
"No, u can't?!"
Aria:
"Yea, I can u avoid eye contact, and u fidget with your hands like u are doing rn"
Jay:
He stops playing with his hands
"Just drop it aria."
Aria:
"Omg, I was right. u were jealous. I was with another guy.
Jay:
"So what if I was?" he says before facing me directly
Aria:
"Well, like I said before, there is no us, so stop being jealous."
Jay:
"Fine be like that then."
Aria:
"Like what!? I wasn't being like anything."
Jay:
"Like that pretending there is nothing between us"
Aria:
"Well, there isn't first of all, and second, I don't like you like that, jay, "
Jay:
"What if I did?"
Aria:
"Did what?"
Jay:
"What if I liked u?"
Aria:
"Jay... no, we can't like each other. "
Jay:
"Why not?"
Aria:
"bc leia likes u,"
Jay:
"Well yea I figured she's not good at hiding it."
Aria:
"She basically called dibs:
Jay:
"So?"
*A slow song begins to play*
"Aria... I know you might say no, can I have this dance?"
Aria:
"Fine one dance won't hurt ig"

Jay leads u put to the dance floor, and he rests his hands on your waist, and you put your arms around his shoulders

You two begin dancing, and he smiles at u while u to dance inside your brain is saying why did u let this happen and why did you let your heart get the best of you but your heart is saying kiss him obviously your not gonna bc well last time that happened it wasn't good but it's really tempting

A few hours later, at about 1 a.m., you and the gang all go back to leias, and they all decide to crash there

And you are sleeping on the pull out couch beside leia in the basement

Nikki and nate are sharing a sleeping bag, and Ozzie goes home. He doesn't wanna sleep in leias dirty basement, and gwen is sleeping in an old recliner

But... you can't sleep, so u decide to go upstairs to get a snack, and when u go in the kitchen, u see Jay in the kitchen rummaging for food in the fridge

Aria:
"Uhh... Jay, what are u um doing?"
Jay:
Obviously, he's a little startled from seeing u "Oh I was um... hungry, so I was looking for food."
Aria:
"Did u find anything?"
Jay:
No, I don't feel like making something, so nothing really to eat. "
Aria:
"Oh well, I'm gonna make myself a sandwich,"
Jay:
"Can u make me one too? I feel too tired to make one,"
Aria:
"Sure, ig."
Jay:
"Thanks,"
Aria:
"You're welcome,"
Jay:
"So I'm sorry for how I acted at the party it's just I was drunk, and wasn't thinking straight I don't even really remember what happened I remember dancing with u and being rude or something I can't really remember"
Aria:
"Oh, u don't remember what all u said,"
Obviously, I was thinking about him saying he liked me
Jay:
"Oh, uh, bits and peaces, but why did I say something bad?"
Aria:
"Um no Uh u said u liked... me"
Jay:
"Oh, I did? Oh um well how did u feel about that?"
Aria: Uh... well, umm, here."
I hand him the sandwich I made, and I run off to my room

He calls for me to come back, and I run upstairs, and he follows after me. i walk into my room, and he comes in after me

Jay:
"Aria, are u okay? Did I say something"
Aria:
"Oh um no it's just.... I like u too, Jay, and when u said u didn't remember what u said, I felt u didn't mean what u said. "
Jay:
"Everything I meant was true. I don't remember saying it, but I meant it, and I still mean it."
Aria:
"Oh okay well umm okay good to know u should go now." I begin to shove him out of my room
Jay:
"Aria, wait." I shut my bedroom door on him

Idk what I was thinking there is NO WAY I just ADMITTED to liking JAY KELSO, and Omg, NOBODY can know about this...
